What's the scoop on FSLTL and AIG models?

Featured Replies

Any idea how long this is going to take to make them fully functioning in 2024? I haven't been following this closely, so curious whether we're talking weeks or months?

According to the information given so far by each of them on their Discord channels, the compatibility issues they're both facing with MSFS2024 are mostly related to their respective Injectors.

AIG mentioned these issues can only be fixed by ASOBO, according to the following extract from their Discord:

"Sadly, there are some bugs that only ASOBO can fix, and before that happens it might be a bit difficult to get the AI to work as intended. At least for the injector (aka AIG Traffic Controller)."

And, from the FSLTL Discord channel:

"The Bad news - FSLTL Injector: Several limitations and obstacles exist that prevent an acceptable level of experience in offline AI via the injector, some factors are outside our control."

I don't use either injectors, just PSXT for me. But it's the models that aren't working well enough to use on a daily basis. Models from AI Manager currently do not have any animations or landing gear. From the limited experience I've tried with the FSLTL models in 20204 most seem to have landing gear but I just wasn't interested enough to keep experimenting.

That all being said, NEITHER of them have said that they are ready for MSFS 2024 at this point. They will be ready when they are ready. As I recall, it took nearly 8-10+ months before we started to get good AI in MSFS 2020.

Ah, yes that's what I was referring to. I personally use the BATC traffic and was just curious whether the model situation is related to the lack of SDK or something else. Oh well, it is what it is. Thanks, Dave!

Currently we will have to wait until next week when Asobo issues the big patch for MS2024. After that AIG said they will evaluate the situation further.
