Logitech rudder pedals causing MSFS to crash

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Since the latest Windows 11 update my Logitech rudder pedals are causing MSFS to crash and not to be recognised. I downloaded Logitech drivers which I thought may have fixed the problem but just had another crash. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yup, after the latest Windows 11 update, there was an issue with the Logitech drivers.  I had to go into Windows Security and turn off Memory Integrity under 'Windows Security/Device Security.  Until Logitech updates their drivers (if ever) that seems to fix it.

Urgh, what a joke. I've had a look at that Eric but I'm not at all keen - it looks really important, that Memory Integrity function. There's definitely no other way, no?

I am hoping it's not a permanent solution but I have not found another way other than to maybe roll back the Windows update (?).  I don't like disabling things either but it was either that or no rudder pedals...😑  Were you getting a pop-up box showing a driver error?

Initially, no; I didn't have rudder pedal drivers installed and just had standard Windows ones, but they started crashing and then rudder pedals not being recognised, so I downloaded Logitech rudder pedal drivers from somewhere and was able to do a full flight yesterday. Then earlier on got a pop-up with driver error and in Event Viewer I can see RudderPedals_Profiler.exe failed

This isn't the first time that a windows update broke something, and it had to be rolled back, and it probably won't be the last.

I thought I would try turning off the power management for all USB devices in Device Management so computer can’t turn off devices to save power - might that make a difference?

Saitek drivers have been appalling from day one. Logitech appear to be just as bad. Expensive gear that can't be used without some complicated nerdy fix. What a joke. Remind me to never, ever, buy a Logitech product again.

To be honest I should have invested in proper rudder pedals by now I'm just being tight by keeping my Saitek/Logitech ones. I did manage a flight GCRR-EGCC earlier with the above set and not touching Memory Integrity. Will continue to monitor

I have been using those pedals for around three years, zero problems. You got something else going on. I heard on Youtube this afternoon that there is something wrong with the latest Windows 11 update.

Not a problem with the update as such. The Logitech/Saitek drivers fail to meet the new core security parameters - and need to be updated. Logitech can't seem to be able to get their heads around it.
