One thing I forgot about, if you have more than one PMDG aircraft like the 737 and the 777, you have to specify in Active skt which one to send the weather data to. PMDG has a separate folder for each airtcraft type, and AS will only send it to one of them. That is in General Options, PMDG export path..  Sometimes I forget to switch, and I am usually flying either the 737 or 777. Ridiculous system that PMDG has, rather than one WX folder for all PMDG aircraft.

WOW that is interesting..I was not aware that!

I will have have a look into it.

That's interesting and I completely forgot about that so I just looked and my PMDG export path was set to the 737 directory however I've been flying the 777 non stop and wind imports have been working fine...

So somehow my 777 is able to import ASFS weather along with my Simbrief FP despite me not having the export path set to the 777 🤔  I wonder where it is pulling it from...

You may have that set in the simbrief downloader, but that isn't really Active Sky weather ( probably close but not the same) .  Take a look.

This is the way I have my 777 set up. My MS 2020 is on my F drive.  Now if I go back to the 737-800, I have to change that in AS. ( Thanks to PMDG and the way they have the WX folders set up>)

It's annoying, older sims had one central PMDG weather folder.

Just thinking, as the wx file is not customized per ac....surely it would be very easy to create a batch file that would read the wx and copy to all pmdg plane folders at once.

You'd have to run it every time you wanted update but at start of flight would be better than nothing?

IF I was doing it, instead of putting the original wx file in an ac wx folder I'd put it in /temp folder for example and copy THAT to the pmdg planes  when the file was run.

Does the wx file update with every new weather download? If so...you can set the batch file to run every 10 mins or so too. Windows scheduler?

I'm so old I last did this in XP!
