Black square King Air MSFS2024

No time like the present.. 🙂

Just make sure you copy over the base airplanes from 2020 for the BS mods to work!

  • Safer is to add the 2020 default King Air to the official2020\OneStore folder..  And with that done, both the BSQ Analog King Air and the G1000 King Air mod work for me when placed in the 2024 Communi

  • Hello, I got it working just by adding the fs2020 default king air to the fs2024 community folder and a couple also by setting the GTN750 for fs2024. Regards,

  • Bert, just like Scotty of Star Trek Fame you are truly a miracle worker!  In less than five minutes time you gave me back two of my favorites, BS King Air and Bonanza.  30 seconds to read your post, 3

Unfortunately I already de-installed 2020.  Looks like the base models are gone.

This worked flawlessly.  Thank you!.. Only thing I've found that isn't functioning is the cabin altitude.  The knob doesn't turn.

Bert is by any chance possible to re-upload the original files of the MSFS2020 King air? I also uninstalled MSFS2020 and the link does not seem to work any more. Thanks.

Will send you a pm..

It's great that we have been able to find a reasonable workaround, the King Air is brilliant! I was quite taken aback when I saw in the recent update from JF & Black Square that "the Steam Gauge Overhaul aircraft will not be joining us in MSFS 2024"

I sure hope there is some level of compensation, through releases to come, for dumping and burning these add-ons.

Nevertheless, this works for now 🥳

I feel the same way, although I can understand that this approach is not "supported" by Asobo, and it could fail at some time in the future..  Kind of a shaky foundation for BSQ/JF to build on..

Having said that, the aircraft I fly the most at present are the BSQ A36 and TBM850!  🙂

Yeah, totally! Like the Caravan, hopefully down the track the King Air gets its own dedicated attention.

hi all, i get always engine errors after Airstart (L-Oil Press/ R-Oil Press), King Air analog not working with MSFS2024?

Has anyone been able to use the BKSQ Kingair recently in 2024? I was able to copy the stock asobo-kingair and bksq-kingair folders from 2020 and had it working fine for a while. Now (April 2025), when I load the aircraft in 2024, it only renders the cockpit/cabin and the rest of the plane is missing? Any ideas?......

Also, does anyone know how to get 2020 liveries for the plane working in 2024?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the sim has a habit of disabling items in the Library..  So, you can either go to your Library and search for King Air or 350i and check there, or, you can check your Content.xml file and look for:

<Package name="fs20-asobo-aircraft-kingair350" active="Activated"/>
<Package name="fs24-asobo-aircraft-kingair350" active="UserDisabled"/>

Lastly, it can just be your choice of liveries, try selecting a different livery and see if the body shows up..

Thanks! This fixed the problem, although the sim crashed a couple times while loading and then selecting the aircraft in the menu. But finally worked on the third try.

And I was able to get the livery I wanted working by regenerating layout.json

I'm having this issue after SU2 was released.  Someone suggested I move the default Asobo king air to the 2024 community folder (where the Black square king air was already housed).  That didn't change anything.

I checked Bert's response above, and see several entries for the asobo king air in the content.xml file.  I'm guessing this shouldn't be.  Can anyone advise how this should look?

Great. Just when I got interested in flight simming again, my favourite airplane is broken ...
