It's a wonder that so many passengers survived! Unbelievable.

It looks like the pilot managed to "flare" the aircraft for a coulple of meters and stabilize the aircraft a little.

Well, it appears that this aircraft was actually shot by "someone" and lost all three of their hydraulic systems. Shrapnel damage the starboard aft empennage indicates the entry points and the exit points are visible on the port side! Note also the damage to the vertical stabilizer and rudder.

There is damage to the port flap canoe as well.

I watched this horrible incident unfold on the other side of the world -on Christmas Day- praying and crying over the deaths of at least 38 fellow human beings, some of whom were mere children...

...as well as the traumatized survivors of this incident and their loved ones.
