Sometimes it accepts SID / STAR (appears to..) sometimes it issues "unknown" and I have to start at the last / first waypoint of the SID / STAR ... December 28, 20241 yr Author At the .ORG I got some hints, but unfortunately they didn't work. Well, tried a few SID / route / STAR variants but unfortunately and even having updated the XP12 nav database with Navigraph's latest cycle, obtained errors when using any of the procedures I tried to use. As yet another example among the various I tried, a flight from LPCS to LPPT with route generated by Simbrief as: LPCS/35 N0269F050 ZIFO1T ZIFOG DCT LAZET LAZE1A LPPT/02 always gives me an error at the fix defined by geo-coord, then if I delete it at ZIFO1T and if I delete that one too then will give me an error at ZIFOG, then at LAZE1A, and so on... Tried with all combinations of ZIFO1T.ZIFOG or ZIFOG.ZIFO1T then LAZE1A.LAZET or LAZET.LAZE1A, but always got errors 😕 I think LR should dedicate a tutorial to this particular subject because they supposedly accept SIDs and STARs now ? Where can I find a detailed set of instructions on how to fill an IFR flightplan, including SIDs and STARs, as well as transitions and APProaches ? December 28, 20241 yr I agree. I flew my first flight today in x-plane 12 with the Zibo 738 using simbrief planner and XP's atc. I experienced the same error issue with SID/STAR id's. I just removed the SID & STAR from the plan pasted into the atc window allowing the transition waypoints to be first and last in the plan. It worked. I have flown FS9, FSX & P3D for ~20 years using Radar Contact 4.3, and was hoping the default atc would offer a bit more in depth menus with at least the option to select runways of choice, similar to RC4 and allow me to fly unvectored full ILS approaches. Does the default atc allow for RNAV approaches? I sort of think not. Detailed instructions to the nth degree would be nice. December 28, 20241 yr The description in the "route" window is crystal clear regarding the type of information it can accept: NDBs, VORs, fixes, V/J airways and SIDs/STARs. Everything in your Simbrief route description that does not denote any of these will therefore be rejected, so you will have to trim it accordingly. In your case: ZIFO1T ZIFOG LAZET LAZE1A. P.S: Runway selection is determined by the airport flows defined in X-Plane's apt.dat. If those are wrong/outdated, it will show in ATC. December 28, 20241 yr This was the route data I entered: FLMGO2 STYMY Q77 MJAMS Q77 SHRKS LAIRI LARZZ SITTH2 This produced an error message about FLMGO2, the active SID. So, I deleted the SID/STAR entries and the plan looked like this: STYMY Q77 MJAMS Q77 SHRKS LAIRI LARZZ and it was then accepted without further issue. So, again, not all SID/STAR entries are accepted, even though they are 100% valid/accurate. I don't think the information required is crystal clear. Please enlighten me, if you will. December 28, 20241 yr As mentioned above by Bjoern, "DCT"s are only in there when filing the route and get automatically removed when the plan is processed. As for the SID issue, it's very common for the SID to get removed as well as those should be assigned by ATC based on their needs. December 28, 20241 yr I just file plane without sids and stars. ATC assigns sid when i file plan which I enter into FMS,GPS than same on descent, ATC usually provide star which isnt always going to be what you want, because of weather

As of XP12.1.3, the included AIRAC cycle is 2306 and flight planners are already using 2412. If FLMGO2 was introduced to the AIRAC at any time betweeen these cycles, X-Plane simply can not know about it. Consequentially, there are two options to deal with this: Downgrade your flight planner's AIRAC to 2306. Upgrade X-Plane's AIRAC to 2412 (from Navigraph or with free CIFP data for the US from the FAA). December 29, 20241 yr Author @Bjoern the SIDs and STARs for LPCS and LPPT, as of cycle 2412 were all I used, and XP12 navdata is updated through the Navigraph FMS data manager as I mentioned in my 2nd post. Also, the example SID STAR entries were just one of teh forms I used. At the .Org on a similar post I did someone suggested the dot notation - ZIFO1T.ZIFOG and LAZE1A.LAZET- but it didn't work either 😕 Edited December 29, 20241 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 29, 20241 yr Out of curiosity, has anyone tried pilot2atc with XP12? If so, favorable results or not worth the time and $? Sorry @jcomm, my intention was not to steer your thread in a different direction. Your question is welcome and related and actually something I've been considering myself. A friend just told me the latest should be even better. I'm also looking for Traffic injection. I have World Traffic but almost never used it. Fsglobal yet another options. Regarding the flightplan for the default ATC in xp12 Philipp just replied: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/323906-still-cant-get-ow-to-properly-fill-an-ifr-flightplan-with-default-xp12-atc/#findComment-2836271 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 30, 20241 yr Author I would add the tag "[SOLVED]" to the OP's tittle, but I no longer have Edit permission so, I'll just post this update to say that Philippe's suggestion, at the .Org Forums worked beautifully, and I actually tried it with other IFR flightplans. Instead f trying to include in the text of the filled FPL the SID or STAR designators I simply put their transitions, and ATC then choses the correct SID / STAR based on the aptdata and weather. SOLVED !!!
