My pleasure Howard,

Very impressed however if I was doing something today I would want to ensure it had Hall Sensors...  That would be a requirement at these price points, not so much in 2013 LOL

Man, isn't it something to be in a nice friendly chat on Avsim where people are respectful and address each other by name, it feels sort of strange 😉

Indeed. Cheers Paul...

  • I don't know if you're aware but WinWing is working on a version of the MCP of the B737, it looks promising, I think it's worth the wait.   Minute  1:48 for check price ( no date for release

  • Not easy but worth it in the end!  My Simpit viewed from my work desk LOL   As for the Brunner, I love it and the benefit for you is you can literally tune the Yoke forces to what you are u

Just so I don't hijack this thread and talk about throttles when Jon was interested in an MCP, I'll drop my in penny's worth  As someone who owns the CPFlight MCP & EFIS and have also had a fiddle with the WinWing Airbus MCP, I thought I'd give you my opinion. First off the bat, there is no comparison, in my opinion, between the two. The CPFlight unit is top notch and while I have the EL version as opposed to the Pro version, it is still, nevertheless extremely well made and would not be out of place in a hi-end cockpit. It feels beautiful. The WinWing, while a fraction of the cost, feels plasticky to me. It has some nice features, but the actual tactile feel of the unit is nowhere near as nice as that of the CPFlight. Now I'm not 'knocking' the WinWing unit, the company has made a great job of it, but it's clearly aimed at the lower end of the simming market. It's very clever marketing, because the CPFlight units and those similar in quaity, I would imagine, are beyond the average simmer's budget. If I can provide an example, the WinWing, in terms of build quality, would be the Saitek yoke of MCPs. However, it does the job, fills a gap in the market, looks the part and is affordable by most standards. As Jon has already said, if it's for use in VR, then it may not matter, but then again, perhaps the feel of the unit then becomes more important... just a thought.
