January 22, 20251 yr Hello everyone Does anybody know where I can get a good quality Lockheed L-1049 or L-1649 for FSX? It’s ok if it’s payware. Thanks

Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

January 23, 20251 yr If you happen to have a version of P3D, the default ones may work. Although I don't know how good are them, when compared with the Calclassic ones. Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. January 23, 20251 yr Hi Just Flight offer some L-1049s in their expansion packs for their Constellation Professional payware. Although the JF Constellation is pretty good, there is no question that the best quality Constellation available for FSX is the A2A version, with superb system replication and interaction. However this is based on the L-049 Constellation (although there are plenty of L-749 liveries also available for it). The only L-1649 available for FSX is the freeware from Manfred Jahn (who also produced the L-1049 available from the Calclassic site). As one would expect from Manfred Jahn, the systems in these are very well replicated and the external model is very good, although the visual modelling of the virtual cockpit is not quite up the the standard of his excellent C-47. Obviously there is nothing to be lost by trying the Manfred Jahn freeware but if you really want a thoroughly immersive Constellation (albeit sadly not an L-1049/1649) then I can recommend the A2A Connie without any reservations.
