It's LNAV/VNAV the whole way, and the FMS, assuming it's setup properly, manages it all quite well. That is interesting. I always fine that the simulated version leaves me to high on descent and has trouble reaching its goal. February 10, 20251 yr One thing I do (in the sim) is look for the first fix in the ILS approach...often for sea level airports it will be 3000' but of course this will vary sometimes depending on the airport. Typically this waypoint has an "at or above" altitude constraint (in this example at or above 3000 feet). I usually change that to an "at" altitude constraint which gives a bit of buffer on the descent., It's not perfect, and the descent winds can play a factor as well but it helps. I'm not sure if that's a realistic approach or not. Friday at 07:48 AM5 days For those flying the Avro RJ in MSFS2024, do you face a problem sometimes where flicking the FMC buttons requires two or three clicks to register? I started learning and flying this place 2 weeks ago and I notice sometimes that the first click does not register. The same applies when using the WebFMC provided by AAO. It takes more than one click for the input to register.Anyone else facing the same issue? Thanks. Friday at 12:09 PM4 days It's been a few weeks since I have flown this but just did a short scheduled flight and the FMC worked fine. Are you using mouse or some linked hardware? If it's mouse, then it is worth try the 'Legacy' setting...for me this always works in all aircraft. Some of the other mouse options - including, ironically, the MSFS2024 default - give me issues from time to time. Some mouse clicks are not registering and I end up having to click twice or thrice. It happens randomly. I wonder if Lossless Scaling is causing this although I've been using it for a long time without such symptoms. I will test nonetheless and report back. Thanks.
