January 24, 20251 yr Question for you... When pushing back, GSX will tell me in certain situations to not start the engines until parking break is set due to icing conditions. This happens to me some times on a clear day when I wouldn't need to de-ice. Is this a bug or is there a certain reason why I shouldn't start the engines even when there is no precip? In a de-ice scenario I would understand why they would say that but on a clear day, I never understood. Thanks! January 24, 20251 yr Icing generally occurs when moisture is present in the air at temps between 4° and -10°C. This could perfectly match a cold, sunny day with a beautiful blue sky 🙂. - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
January 24, 20251 yr Just go into GSX settings and uncheck that feature/option.... Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11

They want the aircraft disconnected from the tug so there's no chance the aircraft could slide while disconnecting the tow bar and injuring someone. BTW, I've deiced aircraft on a clear day. Early in the morning you can have frost that has to be removed. MD-80's were notorious for having to deice the wings in temperatures higher than freezing because of the cold fuel.
