January 25, 20251 yr ...that we all became accustomed to from you know where. Someone here said MSFS can't do this because it's essentially an 'Earth Simulator' instead of a Flight Simulator--so it's the earth and sky that are MOVING, not the plane. Well, as a side point the only time this distinction would matter for me near as I can tell would indeed be no fly-by and tower view. But outside of that it certainly otherwise behaves like a flight simulator for me. January 25, 20251 yr Author Fly-by/tower views seem like an absolute piece of cake for MS/A to program so I've always wondered why the heck it never happened here 5y later, and then some references to a 3rd party developing this for 2024? Why? What's so fundamentally different on this issue vs FSX/P3D that it needs farmed out to a 3rd party? I don’t think anyone except the developers can answer this. Simply saying the devs are silly for not doing it (not you, but many here seem to think Asobo can’t code a hello world) doesn’t really mean anything. It’s just forum bloviating. Considering the work that has gone into the sim, there is likely a good reason for this lack, but unless Jorg or Seb tell us, we can’t really know. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
January 25, 20251 yr Author It's fascinating and it must be something inherent that makes this really difficult. We do see AI aircraft flying so we know it's possible to be in a static space and see planes moving. January 25, 20251 yr Yeah I wonder what it is as well. I really enjoy the old school views in XPlane and wish we had it back in 2020/24. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
January 25, 20251 yr I definitely would like to see a Fly-By view! Hopefully, it's added at some point. January 25, 20251 yr I'd love to hear an explanation from them but I think part of the problem is that they never designated towers for all of the airports. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
