March 3, 20251 yr Thank you for posting the canine and feline videos, it's always nice to see what our furry friends are up to. However, on this occasion I did notice that both feline and canine entities were in jeopardy. Please insure, in future, that our beloved creatures are safe and well in your posted videos. If the Canine Empire or the Feline Galactic Council do decide to take over this planet, they will have you down as a troublemaker and you will be confined to litter tray cleaning duty, only.

Yesterday Little Momma Kitty came in while I was cleaning the box and she sat and watched patiently until I was finished. Cats are very polite. While I was typing this post I heard a loud meow from the other room and rushed to check it out. Turns out Wife had picked up the cat who was really loving it. She's getting really tight across the tummy. The cat, not the wife. I agree with Martin on this. If a pic or video of a baby or toddler doing the same thing would be uncomfortable to see, I'd rather not see our furry friends in the same situation. Some subjects that may be amusing the first time but shouldn't be overdone include animals falling off furniture, dogs trying to carry a stick through a door when it's way too long to fit, and animals being startled or frightened, like cats and cucumbers. Safe subjects include but are not limited to animals and babies, animals enjoying their first time in the snow, animals playing, the zoomies, and animals showing obvious affection toward their owners or each other. I wish I'd gotten a video of Sentry the foxhound being absolutely fascinated by a butterfly. She watched it flying around and when it landed on a nearby flower she put her nose right up against it as gently as you can imagine and the butterfly allowed it. The sweet communing of wildly divergent creatures. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

That's what the litter is for! 😄 She did, however, carefully cover it up afterward, leaving no trace that she'd been there. Reminds me of a very old Charlie Brown comic. His mother gave him a brand new football, but told him not to throw it, kick it or drop it in the dirt. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! Sometimes she even takes pictures of them. A couple of minutes after they come out of the oven, they're cut into manageable slices and devoured. Yeah, the litter box is a beautiful Zen garden when I'm finished cleaning and raking it, but its intended use is not to be an attractive display. 😄 The cats seem to appreciate it. The most important question of all, though, is do you use clumping or non-clumping litter? Clumping is awesome and highly recommended, it turns the pee pee int a hard rock that doesn't smell. 😸 It's like magic.

I've had doggies that considered items from the box to be Krunchy Kitty Treats. I try to discourage that behavior. It's not that I mind them helping clean the box, but what they do with them after they get them out of the litter. It doesn't make their breath exactly springtime fresh. I buy litter from Amazon about every 2.5-3 months in a 38 pound box. About $32. Hook Edited March 5, 20251 yr by LHookins Larry Hookins Oh!
