Lost on what headset for PCVR any tips ?

Featured Replies

So I’m wanting to get my first pc vr headset, I’ve had a psvr in the past & it was ok, I guess I’m looking for something with good visuals & clarity.

Pc is amd running a Ryzen 7 5700x3d, 32gb ram & a 4070 TI Super.

Wireless would be nice but I’d rather be wired if it means better performance on steam VR titles.

Can anyone recommend a good headset ?

I would strongly recommend the pimax crystal light, my aero broke and I was surprised how much better the pimax was in just about every way.

PSVR Just had a largish price drop, and by all accounts its a well featured headset with nice visuals.

The fact that it requires a hardware dongle to work with PC, and has a limited ecosystem might work against it however, and reviews of it in action with various flight Sims didn't particularly show them taking any advantage of its more advanced features, yet.

Still, maybe something to look at!

PSVR 2's price drop makes it cheaper than the Meta Quest 3, and I know which one I'd buy

This guy again: YMMV

I have 5800X3D and 4070 (not ti not super). VR is really great on my Crystal Light. I run at the full Pimax Play resolution, because I don't have to turn it down.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I started out with pimax 8kx and I didn't use it too much becasue instruments were hard to read unless you zoomed in. I now own crystal light and use it almost every day. I plan on getting the super when its released.
