Addons Linker temporary update

@Adamski_NZ not sure what you experienced because, even if not really useful atm with the 2024 version 😱, it should work. See example below, i added an addon in a folder that i wanted to be linked in the official folder and the link was created just fine (it's also fine if i set the official folder to be a complete random folder that has nothing to do with the sim).

So, should you need this in the future, let me know if it still doesn't work for you because there's probably an explanation and solution 🍻

This guy is one of those relatively undiscovered gems of the flightsim community. He has helped me out with several issues in MSFS 2020 over the past year, so he deserves all the praise that he can ge

  • Thank you for your input @BrianT , but unfortunately no, it must be a particular problem with my account because lots of other users are getting their addons updated every day, for me it just freezes

  • AL has become indispensable for me, for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. I really appreciate all the work to keep it updated and working well 😊

OK - thanks - got there in the end!!! Here's a screenshot that may help others:

This was the test ... where links were successfully created. I then changed the MSFS 2024 Official/OneStore folder to the correct path on my system and it all worked fine. All good so far!

Now for the hard one: the reason I was fiddling about with this in the first place was to try to move [paid] Marketplace addons out of the sim so I could enable/disable them in advance of a session using Linker (like I do for all my "regular" addons). I copied a couple of test aircraft (from "Streamed"), disabled them in Marketplace and then copied them into Custom official addons folder (my "Source" folder). I didn't think it would work ... and it didn't ... probably because of the way Marketplace content is set up/stored for protection purposes etc. Anyway - it was worth a try!!
