Sky textures Change when Using Weather Engine

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Anyone knows how can I fix the sky color? Every time I start Active Sky or  FSGlobal Real weather, the sky color is changed.

I’ve read someone asking to delete stars.dat from as_srv folder in P3D main folder. So I uninstalled ASCA delated sky.dat, also shaders but I’ve done that without any result.

At first I thought it only happened with Active Sky, but I’ve also tried FSGRW and it happens too.

Here I attached a picture

Hi juaness,

I use AS all the time and I think your comparison looks great, much better with than without. If I were you I would reinstall ASCA. I don't know about sky.dat. Does that regenerate along with deleted shaders when you reboot?

In short, be happy with what you have. It looks great

Yep number two shot with AS "on" is much more realistic.

Yes, this is just how non-unlimited visibility (realistic in most cases/conditions) is depicted. You can affect the visibility experience using the various ASP3D visibility options. Please see the user's guide and readme pertaining to this. Max upper vis for example can be set to 200 to allow for unlimited (also force minimum vis high, to ignore computed lower vis conditions, if you'd like).
