May 3, 20251 yr Commercial Member Hi folks, a number of you have reported that aviaCDU and aviaOverhead for the 777 was not working correctly under MSFS2024. Indeed the root cause was that the .ini file was not located in the correct directory and as a result, the required databroadcasting flags were not set correctly. This has been fixed in aviaServer 2024 version 1.1 which is now available as an auto-update (run aviaServer2024 once to download the update in the background). In the meantime, I've also received feedback from PMDG directly that under certain circumstances the 777's ini file is overwritten by the aircraft itself, potentially removing the required databroadcasting flags. I've personally not seen this but if you see this issue happening, it will render aviaCDU / aviaOverhead useless as the aircraft will stop sending data. PMDG have reassured me that they are looking into this and there will be a fix in the near future. Unfortunately, there is not much I can do about this as I rely on the aircraft broadcasting the required information for aviaServer to display it. But as mentioned, this issue doesn't seem to affect everyone so hopefully you won't be either. Best regards and happy flying Mark Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
May 4, 20251 yr Unfortunately that did not help me, I have the exact same problem as before even when using 1.1.0.0. I sent a support request.
May 5, 20251 yr I have the latest Aviaserver and the CDU is working perfectly on my Ipad. However I cannot get the web address for the overhead on my second PC. It worked previously on 2020 777. This is the web address I am using. 192.168.0.136/ovhd/777/777/_pax.html. UPDATE: Sorted I added the number taken from the QR code and it works now. Edited May 5, 20251 yr by bcrawley57 Brian Crawley
May 6, 20251 yr I get sim CTD's when AviaServer 2024 is running (both 2020 and 2024 sim versions). It happens at random times, but it always crashes at some point when the server is running with a memory violation code. I have no sim crashes when the server is not running. Is there a log file I can send you? Mike | i7-14700KF - 4080 SUPER | 32 GB RAM | Win 11 Pro | HC Bravo | AAO | StreamDeck |
May 9, 20251 yr Author Commercial Member Which application crashes? If it's aviaServer, then you can send me the logfile.cdulog. But if it's MSFS, then you will need to reach out to PMDG (or Microsoft...). Because there is nothing in aviaServer that can actively crash either one of those - it needs to be something within the sim that doesn't handle something correctly and thus crashes. December 30, 2025Dec 30 Hello, installed FS2024 together with PMDG B777 and PMDG B737 and AviaCDU v1.2.0.0. for FS2024 and FS2020. The options ini of both aircraft the required databroadcasting flags were set. AviaCDU B777: CDU itself is shown in the browser window, I get audio and visual feedback when I press buttons, and the button presses reach MSFS, but nothing is shown on the AviaCDU AviaCDU B737: Is working like under FS2020 The AviaCDU checked the compability but the B777 is not working ?? PMDG 737 NG in C:\Users\mail\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\pmdg-aircraft-738\work is compatible - All set! PMDG 777 in C:\Users\mail\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\pmdg-aircraft-77f\work is compatible - All set! What is the problem with the B777??? Thank you!
December 30, 2025Dec 30 Author Commercial Member You need to restart flightsim, then you should be all set. Mark Foti Author of aviaworx - https://www.aviaworx.com
December 31, 2025Dec 31 What do you mean by: "CDU itself is shown in the browser window"? - that IS the AviaCDU. In any case I have used the AviaCDU with PMDG 777 in MSFS 2024 and it works great. i7-6700k • Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 • 32GB DDR4 2666 • EVGA FTW ULTRA RTX3080 12GB
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Hello, yes the AviaCDU is shown an my Ipad browser and I can do inputs and I can see the inputs inside the B777 in FS2024, but the AviaCDU on the remote Ipad is dark. I am using also the AviaCDU for the PMDG B737-800 and that works ??
January 1Jan 1 Hopefully Mark can help to solve the problem or discuss with PMDG (B777 FS2024) to solve the problem particularly the AviaCDU together with the PMDG B737 FS2024 is working fine! Happy new year!
