Hi folks,

a number of you have reported that aviaCDU and aviaOverhead for the 777 was not working correctly under MSFS2024.

Indeed the root cause was that the .ini file was not located in the correct directory and as a result, the required databroadcasting flags were not set correctly.

This has been fixed in aviaServer 2024 version 1.1 which is now available as an auto-update (run aviaServer2024 once to download the update in the background).

In the meantime, I've also received feedback from PMDG directly that under certain circumstances the 777's ini file is overwritten by the aircraft itself, potentially removing the required databroadcasting flags.

I've personally not seen this but if you see this issue happening, it will render aviaCDU / aviaOverhead useless as the aircraft will stop sending data. PMDG have reassured me that they are looking into this and there will be a fix in the near future.

Unfortunately, there is not much I can do about this as I rely on the aircraft broadcasting the required information for aviaServer to display it.

But as mentioned, this issue doesn't seem to affect everyone so hopefully you won't be either.

Best regards and happy flying

Mark

Unfortunately that did not help me, I have the exact same problem as before even when using 1.1.0.0. I sent a support request.

I have the latest Aviaserver and the CDU is working perfectly on my Ipad.  However I cannot get the web address for the overhead on my second PC.  It worked previously on 2020 777.

This is the web address I am using. 192.168.0.136/ovhd/777/777/_pax.html.

UPDATE:  Sorted I added the number taken from the QR code and it works now.

I get sim CTD's when AviaServer 2024 is running (both 2020 and 2024 sim versions). It happens at random times, but it always crashes at some point when the server is running with a memory violation code. I have no sim crashes when the server is not running. Is there a log file I can send you?

Which application crashes? If it's aviaServer, then you can send me the logfile.cdulog.

But if it's MSFS, then you will need to reach out to PMDG (or Microsoft...). Because there is nothing in aviaServer that can actively crash either one of those - it needs to be something within the sim that doesn't handle something correctly and thus crashes.

The ini path for the 777 for MSFS2024 is:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2024\pmdg-aircraft-77er\work\777_Options.ini
