New voices

Featured Replies

I just recently started using my RCv4.3 again after many years away from it (Since my FSX days) with P3D 5.31 and all I can say is WOW!!  It's So much more realistic and immersing than the FS Hud ATC I had been using.

I missed the stern critiques at the end of flight 🙂

I just noticed @Ray Proudfoot is one of the voices featured as a controller!    Nice!   I'm very impressed, Ray!

My question is:      Are there any freeware sources of additional female PILOT voices?  I don't particularly like being represented by a MALE voice in ATC interactions.

I did look through a lot of posts to see if this question has already been answered but came up short.

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Thanks for your kind words Snobrit. Those voice sets were recorded 20 years ago. There are no additional voice sets I’m aware of, sorry.

A lady did record a controller set but I’m guessing she didn’t do a pilot set (from memory). It did involve a mammoth effort with so many individual recordings.

Okay thanks for the reply and I just realized that the voice from the airplane back to the controller is my co-pilot, not me!  😉

You do have the option of handing over comms to your co-pilot which mirrors real world ops. I do that when I’m given clearance to take-off.

I thought I had replied but there is nothing here.

I found this voice and use it for my female co-pilot.

Hello Ian, THANK YOU for providing that file.   I will get it installed into RCv43 and will report back 🙂

Hello Ian, sorry I forgot to provide feedback on your advice.

I did install per instructions and using the MCE Lorna V4 voice checked under Co-Pilot voice selection but the co-pilot voice talking to controllers is still a male voice.

Id dawned on me that since RC4 isnt handling FO coms automatically, that maybe I needed to instead enable that voice to Pilot voices.  I've done that now and am going to try it again.

I also cannot figure out for the life of me how to set up RC4 to have my co-pilot handle the communications with controller automatically so that I don't have to baby-sit the flight closely.

Thank you for your help!

The default keyboard combo is Control + Shift + K. Check the options in the main RC interface.

Thank you Ray!   That worked and MCE Lorna V4's voice said "Got it" back when I used the key combo just now in flight so I think I may be all set.  Finger's X'd

RC4 works with ms2024?  Excellent if so.

It doesn’t and never will unfortunately.

I'm really enjoying RC4 but I would love to be able to adjust the volume of the controllers and traffic apart from other P3D volume levels.   Is there a way to do that?

You would have to turn down P3D sounds. Alternatively, run RC4 on a networked PC using WideClient.
