  1. My wishlist for payware quality airports for P3D5 would be: KSMF, KOAK, KGEG, KBOI, KSTL, KMKE, KMSN, KPIT, KJAX, KDET, KFAT and KPVU to name a few..
  2. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 aircraft had no .ini file in their respective Simobjects\Airplanes\... folders. The Pro had an .ini file but no entry for fms_flightplan_path=C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files I found an [FMS} section in this .ini file and placed the above entry into it but had no luck. Still get "Error loading CO Route" on the FMS when putting KPDXKSLC into the CO Route field. so I am unsure what "[Section]" this entry would go under. None of the sections seem appropriate. One forum post said there should be an [ACARS] section where there should be an entry like: [ACARS] acars_flightplan_path=C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files I tried this and no luck. I also saw forums posts that said the flight plan needed to be in FSX format, which I am using based on FSBuild. Other posts said the flight plan name needed to be like Departure_IATA-Arrival_IATA.PLN so PDX-SLC.PLN whereas others said Departure_ICAO Arrival_ICAO.PLN with no space between the two, such as you would use with the PMGD line. No matter what I tried I could not get any of the 3 aircraft to load the route. Can you tell me what the respective section name should be in the .ini files? I also tried putting the flight plans into C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Prepar3d v4 Files and that didn't work either.
  3. THANK YOU simfan1983 for all of this great info! Even though the link doesn't work for me, I think I should be all set.
  4. The Aerosoft Airbus aircraft for P3D5 are the most unreliable quirky randomly failing aircraft I have ever tried to use. I can't use them with any Add-ons that evaluate performance and pilotage since I will get trashed in my scores when the thing goes haywire in whatever phase of flight it feels like doing it in. Today I was flying the A321 and suddenly 2 hrs into cruise it decided to throttle back to idle in an attempt to stall or crash, who know. I was luckily watching over it and was able to intervene. Crazy. Waste of money.
  5. Darnit! i didn't see that. I will look for that next time. Thank you Ray!
  6. I just picked up the Ultimate Airliners MD-80 and DC-9 megapack from Flight1. The graphics are exactly as they were in FSX (Surprise!) but the planes are still a joy to fly and the AP is very responsive. yet I have a problem loading in a flight plan so I have been forced to navigate using HDG and can't use NAV, which is annoying at best. To make things worse, Coolsky support is no longer offered on their "Legacy" products so I thought I would ask here in case anyone owns and flies these planes. Details: I followed the instructions in the DC-9 Classic Flight Center to load a flight plan: 1) Enter Departure ICAO (KSEA) 2) Enter Destination ICAO (KSLC) 3) Enter Flight Number (220) Name flight plan file as DEP-DEST-Flight#.pln (in my case KSEA-KSLC-220.pln) Then Hit ENT on PMS to load plan. I Always get the error "Route import incomplete." I searched the Coolsky forums relentlessly and there were only 2 posts I could find that had anything to do with flight plans. One Coolsky forum post claimed the Navdata for the DC9 was old and so I just used long existing VORs for my flight plan, no GPS waypoints (YKM, PDT, BOI, TWF, OGD) to test that theory and got the same outcome. One post asked where the flight plan should be placed and the reply from support was "in the same folder where P3D looks for plans" so I put it there and got the same result. Note: There are no Flight1 folders that were created during install that would be used for flight plans. I created a couple and tried copying the plan there but no luck, e.g., Documents\Prepar3D5 v6 Files\Flight1\flightplans Any ideas?
  7. You could always get something from https://carenado.com - I think they have all of the light GA aircraft from Cessna. I own all of what they sell for P3D and they vary from ok/tolerable to great. The Cessna 172RG 317H are 2 of my favorites.
  8. You submit a flight plan which includes a departure runway, when setting up RC, but when you listen to ATIS before asking for clearance, it might tell you the active runway is in the opposite direction from that referenced in your flight plan. Q: How, once I have asked for clearance, can I get RC to give taxi instructions to the active runway, as opposed to that which is referenced in my flight plan?
  9. Not at all. This is 0.30 zoom across 78" of my spanned monitors: https://imgur.com/a/4GGkwdl Note: I tried to use the "Insert Image from URL" feature in my post and it was unresponsive when attempting to submit the link.
  10. I'm really enjoying RC4 but I would love to be able to adjust the volume of the controllers and traffic apart from other P3D volume levels. Is there a way to do that?
  11. Hello, Even though I use a pair of 39" curved monitors each with a 2560x1080 resolution setting, I don't use P3D's Wide-Angle monitor option because it creates a flattened image where buildings and scenery are squeezed down to a flatter ratio which looks unrealistic. The problem with that is my external and cockpit view ranges seem much more limited where I can't for instance zoom out in the cockpit to see the entire console in a PMDG 737 or any other airliner. While I can still pan around to see everything, that can make things tough when, for instance, you are turning off the taxiway and want to switch off the takeoff lights, because panning to see the switches you lose visibility to where you're going! Does anyone know how to change the lower limit on the zoom range available in virtual cockpit and chase plan views? Right now the range is 0.30 to 512. I would love to get the lower limit able to go to .05 zoom.
  12. RE:"and its crawling at 1 KB per second." If you're transferring to a USB drive, make sure you're plugging into a USB4 port (v2 is best) if you have one, or if you don't, USB-C at a minimum. USB-A or B will crawl slower than a slug.
  13. Hello Hammer88, I have not tried to change those things through REX and wasn't aware you could do that. Let me give it a lookC and if I can make it happen I will let you know and we can converse offline.
  14. I agree with Ray. Performance is great and CTD's are very rare and avoidable. (Mucking wtth scenery and graphics settings during flight and repeatedly reloading complex aircraft can do it).
  15. i bought most of what he's selling - great stuff! Praying for your healing Fernando!
