September 3, 2025Sep 3 I am sure that most of you are aware that FC Scenery are one of the very few (if only) developers that currently support P3D with regular additions and updates to their excellent global scenery packages. You may also be aware that this is almost a single person operation. Unfortunately, the lead developer, Fernando, has posted on his Facebook site that he is having some health issues that he needs to finance treatment for. He is not seeking donations, but he has applied some generous sales and discounts on his website, with a view to drumming up some revenue to help-out. https://www.fcscenerys.com/ If you were considering adding FC Scenery to your P3D experience, now would certainly be a good time to do so. I am sure I speak for all of us in wishing Fernando all the best and a speedy recovery...and thank you for what you do for the P3D community. Ian S
October 26, 2025Oct 26 Hi, I have purchased the UK scenery today, paying with PayPal. However, I'm not seeing any download links, or any order confirmation, other than from PayPal. Any ideas please? Thanks - Phil

October 27, 2025Oct 27 For me, a few days ago, the links to ask for Google Drive access arrived very quickly. After asking for access it took about 24 hours for it to be activated. Best regards, Dimitrios 9950X3D - 64 GB - RX 7900 XTX - TrackIR - Power-LC M39 WQHD - Honeycomb Alpha yoke, Saitek pedals & throttles in a crummy home-cockpit - MSFS for props, P3D for jets
October 27, 2025Oct 27 I have now received the Google links however, I don't have a Google account, nor want one. I've emailed to ask if there is an alternative method to get the downloads.

October 29, 2025Oct 29 Get well soon!! I’m interested in buying the global scenery but was wondering if there are any problems with third party airport sceneries. Thanks! Aurora R16, Intel® Core™ i9 14900KF, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090, 64 GB: 2 x 32 GB, DDR5, 2x 4 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD

Thanks! No problems at all. You just need to ensure airports are layered above the scenery. Recommond lorbys organiset to manage that Ian S

October 30, 2025Oct 30 @ Phil - the person sharing the files has to do it in their account, so that would be Fernando at FCScenery in this case, not much we can do other than request it of him via email? Dean Stringer
November 10, 2025Nov 10 Just bought the global package. Was wondering how big of a hard drive am I going to need if I install the whole thing? Thanks Aurora R16, Intel® Core™ i9 14900KF, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4090, 64 GB: 2 x 32 GB, DDR5, 2x 4 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD
November 10, 2025Nov 10 @dufus01 good on ya for supporting the dev !!! you gonna need a room full of NAS servers tho to store all that stuff and it will take 12hrs to load before every flight Seriously tho, I tend to swap in/out the areas/regions/continents I'm about to use from external drives rather than have it all on the PC at once. Countries (or US States) tend to vary from between 20 and 150GB each depending on detail provided. Dean Stringer

Thanks For what it is worth, I have mine spread across 4 external hard-drives and the space used is - Sth America & Oceania - 2.77Tb Europe & Africa - 3.03Tb Nth & Central America - 3.09Tb Asia - 2.19Tb I have them connected on a powered hub. What I like about this is that I can just individually turn off whichever drives arent needed. This is particuarly handy if you use AIG. The reason is that FC Scenery contains literally millions of .bgl files. If you run an AIG OCI update, it will try and scan all these .bgl files to see if it is an airport, so you'll be there all day. If you turn off the external drives whilst AIGOCI does its thing, its a lot quicker. You won't want all that scenery activated at once so recommend Lorbys addon organiser to activate as needed. Also, de-activate Orbx Global, Vector and LC, you don't need it, it will add strain on your system. Use Lorby to layer all airports (including Orbx airports) above FC Scenery. Ian S
November 11, 2025Nov 11 Fernando has cancer, it makes me so sad to see this happen to him. He's a great guy and is scenery is awesome. The money he makes from selling his scenery is his only income. He his getting cancer treatment, so hopefully he will beat this. I am praying for you Fernando.
