Is it just me or is the Fenix A321 super hard to fly with manual throttles using the Thrustmaster Airbus throttles with the throttle detents in? It is very hard to precisely manage speed manually. It is a little bit easier to fly manual throttles with the Inibuilds A320. This is in huge contrast to flying a Boeing with manual throttles, which is a pure joy.

Yes it is.  I tested these at the Las Vegas convention and it was then that I decided to go with the Bravo unit instead and add the third party snap on mod.  Very happy with that.

I configure so the "slide" throttle on the side stick is also enabled, and use that during times I want a "non-detent" throttle control., like taxi. In the air you should be using AT, so use the panel to control it if for some reason you want to override the MCDU.

 

For me it's not hard...just found to sensitive to maintain on approach, jumps to much and hard to control...Not sure if t hat how supposed to be....Perhaps more experienced Airbus driver can comment. Would like to know too.

There is an update for the Fenix series coming soon which may improve the matter... also, 3rd party mods making the throttle less 'spongee' could be used... im just about to install mine which allows for more precise throttle adjustments...

I believe the throttle in the real airbus alllows for way more granular control of the throttles. I beleive this rodeo ride with manula throttles in the sim is a Thrustmaster issue.

I find it a lot easier to fly manual throttles on the iniBuilds A320 with the Thrustmaster Airbus throttles (with detents in) compared to the Fenix A320 which is a full on approach rodeo.
