May 25, 20251 yr After old AA, this Delta 727...looks wonderful... Our hobby would be incomplete here if we fly only the shiny new carbon-fiber twin-engine jets...🙂... Thanks for sharing...!
May 25, 20251 yr Is this a study level 727? FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
May 25, 20251 yr Great shots! I really enjoy the 727, once you manually balance it out it flys like a champ.

I always fly with the INS, that alone is awesome.. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

Do the systems operate like they would in the real jet or is it dumbed down a bit. Who makes this 727? May 29, 20251 yr Very nice shots bud! classic liveries remain the best! 😉 20 hours ago, pmplayer said: What ever that means Just to make it short, Study Level means a hardcore addon like PMDG or Fenix. You'll need skills and knowledge levels to fly it. This will not be within the reach of a beginner in the sim. 🙂 Edited May 29, 20251 yr by Alaska738

Take a look at Google, type FSS 727-200 it is from Flightsim Studio and i am shure you`l find your answers, for example: ore: cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
May 29, 20251 yr Great set of photos! (And great memories of real world flights on the DL 727!) I always enjoyed being a passenger on the 727...noisy on the outside, but, surprisingly quiet on the inside. The best memories for me...I never had my "usual" congestion after flights on the 727...compared to modern short haul jets...the good old "inefficient" days when fresh air was circulated into the cabin! 🙂 I don't know how many times I flew late evenings from ORD to CVG on near empty flights (less than 20 PAX) back in the early 2000's. Hard to believe real world 727 flights ended in 2003. I spent more hours on the Dreamfleet 727 than I care to remember...I haven't picked the FSS one up yet...and certainly miss seeing the "real thing" at my local airport!

So, your connection, rmeier, to ORD, goes as far back as mine, if not more ...🙂...most of the (current) suburbs were then cornfields ...🙂...My only 727 flight(s) were just a couple, between Columbus/CMH and ORD. It was with UAL...I think... Thanks to pmplayer, we're seeing this classic here in MSFS...I wish to get it if/when it's available in the MSFS Marketplace...

LOL...in the late 90's, I was working as a part time "road warrior" (while living in Southern Ontario). The majority of my (to the) US flights were routed from YYZ through ORD. When I moved to Cincinnati in May 2000 (now a full time road warrior), the majority of my flights out of CVG were either with Comair's CRJ200's or Delta's B727-200's or the B737-200's (going west through ORD or northeast) or the B757 or B767 going south through ATL (or the Delta, or Air France, B777-200's headed to Europe). Delta's MD fleet (at the time) was a rare sight in CVG...but flew those types many times on connecting flights out of ATL...as well as the regional ASA fleet of turboprops. 🙂 Flying back home on personal time (to YVR) to visit family, or go sailing 🙂, was always through ORD, usually on the UAL A320 series on the home-bound leg. Forgot to mention the experience of sitting "cattle class" on the B727...sitting over the wing (or just aft) and watching the magnificent krueger slats/double fowler flaps unfolding the wing prior to arrival...always a sight to behold! To think those wings were still designed with slide rules, and yet the reliability of those aircraft allowed them to fly for over 40 years. I also believe the STOL characteristics of the B727 aircraft are what made it such a popular freighter in it's later life. Going as far back as the 1980's into the 1990's, I recall driving eastbound to work through Richmond (in the Greater Vancouver area) and almost every (clear) morning at 7:15 am I could watch the arrival of the Fedex B727 from KMEM into CYVR on RWY 26(L) (even before the construction of the north runway). One last B727 story; in the early 90's, I remember flying from CYVR to KDEN on a (battleship gray) UAL 727 for a business trip. I was sitting almost all the way at the rear of the aircraft. Anyone who has flown into Denver probably already knows how wind gusts are almost a constant at KDEN at that elevation. On approach, the two Flight Attendants sitting in the aft galley were casually discussing plane crashes (I'm not kidding! 🙂 ), I could overhear their conversation...as I looked at the passengers seated near me, undoubtedly tuned into the same FA conversation, almost everyone was turning green with a distinct look of fear due to the FA's conversation and the very real turbulence (and the aggressive rudder movements felt especially at the rear of the aircraft) that we were encountering on arrival into KDEN at the time. 😕 Fond memories... 🙂
June 1, 20251 yr pmplayer's 727 is bringing back some memorable nostalgia...🙂... ...🙂...Fascinating account, rmeier...! "Cattle Class" in the B727 and flying into gusty (and mile high) KDEN airport...must have been an unforgettable experience...🙂...(BTW, today, I recalled your Yukon Sourdough DC-3 Post and was prompted to fly an Air North ATR...🙂...) ...
