For those who remember it from FSX with great affection like I do - its coming to MSFS2024

Thanks for the info. I do remember, however, all those bush sceneries (Georender, etc.) do not have the same flavour in FS2024 for me. There was also Emma Field (FS2004).

This is true and I have been a bit disappointed with Darrington/Concrete etc. I suppose the impressive thing about them was always how good they looked, even in a MSFS2020 setting but in MSFS2024 the surrounding scenery is so much better they don't look as good anymore. That's the case for most add on scenery now I think. MSFS2024 is such a step forward it will take scenery makers time to catch up. But I spent so long in this area all those years ago and Diamond Point was my virtual home so I'm still looking forward to seeing it again.

Unfortunately, while 2WA1 used to be one of my favorite places in FSX/P3D (along with KORS), the MSFS 2020/2024 versions of the old Orbx airports have all been very disappointing so far.

While it is true that MS have raised the standard when it comes to the surrounding terrain, most of these (lazy...) ports are in fact less detailed than their FSX versions, with missing clutter, generic runway/taxiway textures, etc. Even in the promo shots for Diamond Point 2024, you can see a lot of issues, such as the misaligned asphalt polygons in shots 3 & 4, the generic runway texture without any edge blending in shot 7, and so on...

I have 2wa1 in 2020 and it's pretty good.  I do agree that the magic they made for fsx and p3d is kinda gone.

They need to step up their game.

I would however recommend Harvey S43 - it's pretty decent!
