June 27, 2025Jun 27 Author What I liked about this incident is thinking about it from the kid’s perspective. He’s been trained that in an emergency he should call 911 for help but at his age catching his mom eating what he thinks should be his ice cream is criminal. I can remember being that age and how distorted that simple perception of things is. Like this girl whose father takes her tongue out and puts it back in and how it terrifies her, she literally experiences it as a fact:
