When my local cable company was bought out by Comcast, the price for cable TV shot up by over 50%. Cancelled on the spot and have never gone back to any cable TV. Didn't have a choice with internet as my ISP at the time was DSL and there were just too many limitations at the time (cable internet was a heck of a lot faster at the time was the same price).
