Can't sign in to MSFS - Error code

Featured Replies

Never saw this before, but when I try to sign in to either MSFS 2024 or 2020, I get this message that Xbox can't sign me in.  Error Code: 0x80004005.  It says to try again LATER!   Is there something going on with  Microsoft or is this a problem that is specific to my machine?

Please advise...if you can help.

Thank you.

When I get this, and it is seldom, I simply wait 10 seconds and try again.  Always works for me.  YMMV. TANSTAAFL.

I am getting this error too.  Xbox Live Status check also not working for me.

Then I stand corrected.  Obviously a ten second wait ain’t gonna fix this.

It's fixed now.  I should have waited a little before posting.  I just flew 2020 and will try 2024 later.

Problem solved!

Thanks.

I had a connection problem halfway through a quick circuit flight at EGLL London Heathrow earlier this evening in MSFS 2020. The simulator lost connection with the server, and I ended up with extremely blurry low resolution terrain graphics on final approach. Since I never fly when the graphics are word not allowed, I quit the flight at that point. Hopefully, it will have been sorted out when I try again tomorrow afternoon.
