Help! Is the Rowsfire A107 A320 overhead panel worth it?

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

Just came across FSElite’s write-up on the Rowsfire A107 A320pro/A320 MAX Light Overhead Panel from MECHDIY, and it’s got me curious! The details—backlit buttons, a metal frame, and tactile switches—sound like they’d level up the sim experience, but I want to hear from people who’ve actually used it.

Anyone here own one? Would love the deets: How’s the overall build—sturdy enough for regular use? Do the switches have that satisfying “click” feel, or are they flimsy? And how’s the backlighting—too dim, too bright, or just right for immersion?

Also, integration-wise—does it play nice with MSFS, X-Plane, or DCS without a ton of hassle? The price seems pretty solid for what’s offered, but does it deliver in real life?

Spill the tea if you’ve tried it—your take could save me (and others!) a lot of guesswork. Thanks a bunch!

Just ordered and they send a mail that they are allready behind schedule. Starting delivery this weekend.

I will report my findings when it hopefully arrives

Why the rush? It seems like a number of devs seem to be diving into the airliner hardware market so I'd think it would be worth waiting to see offerings from others too.

It is certain that Wingflex is coming out with an overhead panel as well (mid-Sept, I believe) although the price may scare the wallet out of your pocket and make it run for the hills, as is WinWing (date unknown).

I had a look at the Rowsfire offerings and was shocked to see the prices quoted (in AU$), one example being the A320 MCDU for $1710 (not a typo)!
The images of the overhead panel show questionable fidelity (and quality) but we'll have to reserve judgement on that until people actually get their hands on it.

Not sure that he's rushing, rather he's just keen to try a new product thats hit the market. Good on him.

I'd disagree with your comment about quality - They look pretty good from what I've seen online. In respect to the prices all the overheads seem quite reasonable to me - Less than $500 AUD for the large one.

I personally am keen to hear on the quality @Michael Moe and how it integrates using either Mobiflight or Spad. Given the amount of other hardware available I'm surprised its taken this long for a decent overhead to appear.

Hi Mike , well only a mail stating they are behind schedule and will compensate with a free stand. This was not a express order.

Hopefully they will update soon

Mine arrived today. Looks good. I haven’t had chance to test it out yet, but on first glance, I seem to be missing the VESA mounting holes.

Hi Michael,

I’ve emailed support and they asked for a photo. Considering our delivery dates, I’m assuming ours were part of the same production batch and they’re about to have a very bad headache.

I haven’t actually used it very much as the stand is useless and I need to mount it properly so it’s a bit sturdier to use.

Yes that seems like a bad one for sure.

Also my board is absolutely dead for now. Will troubleshoot

Got it up and running after a CH340 driver installation from there trouble shooting page.

Tried the Fenix A320 in MSFS2020 and so far pretty good.

Update: Seems like all the power to the Airbus connects when running Mobiflight profile. Not sure how to be in a cold and dark state.  Maybe the buttons has a memory for every session?
