October 6, 2025Oct 6 I've finally managed to get MSfs2024 up and running (flying :-) ) but I find it reeeaaaally difficult to programme my Thrustmaster TCA joystick and throttle system. I have watched a lot of yt videos, but still get it messed up so nothing of it works. Is there a way to export the settings and for others (me) to import it into msfs2024? As far as I can see there's no such profiles / settings on flightsim.tx, so I'm hoping someone knows the answer to it. Oops, found one on xxxxxxxx.to, gonna try it and see it it solves the mystery, Edited October 6, 2025Oct 6 by jlund Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. October 6, 2025Oct 6 I used this https://flightsim.to/file/85361/migrate-fs2020-controller-configs-to-fs2024 which worked pretty well AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
October 7, 2025Oct 7 Author Thanks, but that is way too nerdy for me 🙂 I hope MS/Asobo will make this possible in a future update. October 8, 2025Oct 8 Author After watching a couple of videos on the tube with Simhangar and Huddison, it seems that it actually IS possible to export/import profiles, but their profiles is only available on Discord, and I've never managed to find out how that works. I'm surprised there isn't any profiles on flightsim.to, cause surely I'm not the only one having problems with programming the joystick and throttle? Thou the aircrafts wont move once parking brake is disabled. Mike For reasons only known by Asobo, SU3 brought in an odd aberation that, in some cases, added multiple park brake settings into folks' controls profiles. It seems a widespread problem with honeycomb users but a fellow simmer I know had the same issue with his thrustmaster. It's tiresome, but until this stops happening I find the most straightforward way is: If I start a flight and either can't release the park brake, or I can release the park brake but the aircraft still won't move : - I go into Controls Settings and for EACH of my Hotas controls I go the Search box and type PARK - this should bring up all of the buttons or switches on that Hotas control that has anything to do with parking brakes or brakes. I delete every one except the one I use (to delete, you have to put your cursor over the box, hit 'Delete' and then 'Backspace' to clear that one. - I delete every one on that Hotas item except the one I want to use (if any) - I then move to the next Hotas item and repeat the process - Apply and Save, then back into the sim. The parking brakes should then release normally. For the next aircraft that does it, repeat the above. Quite quickly you will have cleared most of the conflicts for the aircraft categories you use regularly. So its best to for eg Clear all bindings from ms2024 Set a profile pmdg 777 And start from scratch? Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike I've done that in the past with some models, but nowadays, I generally pick a controls profile that I know that works and then copy and rename it and just add the 'extras' that I need, such as more engines, etc.. The 'Park Brake' issue seemed to have been a more random insertion by SU3 or some other factor into existing and previously well proven Bravo saved profiles. Many other folks have been similarly affected with various Hotas makes and I don't think that the root cause - sim or add-ons - has been fully pinned down. Last time I looked, Asobo had still not registered it as a bug. The last one that I personally came across was the new Inbuilds A340, released two days ago! I used my tried and trusted original '4-engine airliner' profile, booted up the A340 and it wouldn't let me release the park brake! I went into the profile and, sure enough, two spurious 'park brake toggle' commands had been inserted into the profile! It can't have been inibuilds because they would have had no idea what controls profile I was going to use and so I assume that this was a profile that I hadn't used since before SU3 and therefore hadn't cleared the spurious entries. So, if it was me, I would: -pick the nearest profile to the pmdg777 that I currently use - copy and rename it - make any changes specific to the 777 (probably none needed if you are copying an existing Boeing profile - Search 'Park' and delete any spurious park brake commands Edited October 9, 2025Oct 9 by AJZip2 Ryzen 7 9800x3D @5.2GHz; ASUS X670-P Motherboard; nVidia 4080 (factory o/c); 32G 5600MHz DDR5 SDRAM; Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset; Quest 3 VR Headset

October 9, 2025Oct 9 Author If it's ok to go back to the original topic of ex/import profiles, I would like to ask if anyone owning the Thrustmaster TCA pack will be willing to share their profiles, both the controls AND the views setups, please? Maybe it would be an idea to have a section on Flightsim.to with profiles and setups for different aircraft and joystick combos? I don't see any forums on flightsim.to where I can ask them to make that an option. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. October 12, 2025Oct 12 Author I'm sorry to be a pain in the you know what, but finding out there's the export / import possibility in settings, and I have tried following different YT videos, but without luck, I am really hoping someone with the Thrustmaster TCA setup, will be so kind to share their settings somewhere. It's the first sim where I have such difficulty setting up the controls, and it really takes the fun out of flightsimming for me.
