Yeah, the sim is butter, the clouds are getting better, and the overall atmosphere is just an absolute joy!

They have really improved upon initial XP12 release!

The new clouds and atmosphere is superb - very realistic.  Some issues remain with blocky clouds but it's happening less and less.

The big thing Laminar needs to work on is anti aliasing...  I can even see the lack of in your small pic there... it's worse if it's in game/moving image.  Other than that I'd love to see some fresh addons use the full new lighting engine, many addons are quite antiquated or ports from XP11 (or older).

I recommend a good Ortho solution like Auto Ortho or XP Map enhancement.  If you don't mind 5 bucks a month the hi-res version is worth it imo, paired with SimHeaven for overlays.

Hi Ryan, yeah your right the jaggies are a real issue, and with my 3080 card, pushing it to 4xAA is okay when there's not much clouds or rain, but as soon as night or heavy cloud is present, I have to then drop it again.

I am running XPME and I know ortho isn't integrated into the sim natively but its such little fuss to setup that its completely fine! I also use Xroads and xautogen which make a big difference in how the ortho looks
