I need your help again.

I work with Prepar 3D V 5.3, which works without any problems.

 

I have installed Zurich Kloten Airport. I would like to add AI aircraft to this airport. I have already looked on the internet to see if there is any useful software that can be used to add AI aircraft to the airport. After a long search, I was disappointed: the programs I found are either unusable or far too complicated to use.

However, I did find one program that I'm very interested in and would like to use. It's called AI Live Traffic for P3D V 5. https://youtu.be/BUnnCSVgMJ4

The program is very simple and user-friendly. Unfortunately, there is a small problem. In order for the program to add the aircraft to the airport, you first have to install them. The video says that you should install the so-called “FLAI Library Package.” I searched the entire internet to find where to download this package, but unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere. I also contacted support, but unfortunately I did not receive a response. Since the program is already a few years old, it is possible that support is no longer available.

Now my question to you is: can anyone tell me where I can find this FLAI Library Package on the internet? If anyone has found the package, I would be VERY grateful if you could send me the direct download link. I also searched for alternative AI aircraft for AI Live Traffic, but unfortunately I didn't find anything. I would be very grateful if you could organize such AI aircraft for me, but please note that they must be compatible with the AI Live Traffic program.

If anyone is already using this program, I would be grateful if they could send me the direct download link for their AI aircraft.

If anyone is interested in installing AI aircraft in the simulator, I highly recommend this program. As I said, it is very easy to use and you don't need any programming knowledge. Take a look at the video. The link is above.

@Hammer88, was one of the other Ai aircraft packages you tried AIG?

It may appear complex but once the program is installed and you point it to two folders that will contain the files required to show Ai aircraft it’s very easy to use.

The beauty is you can install as many or few airlines as you wish. It will work perfectly well with just SwissAir installed. Once you see those aircraft at Zurich it’s working properly.

Other airlines such as Lufthansa, Air France and British Airways can be added in slow time.

There is a help forum and many people in AvSim also use it including myself. There’s a free program called Ai Companion that shows you all the aircraft running in the sim and their status. A wonderful companion. 😎

Totally agree with Ray. AIG is a wonderful AI package. There are about 2500 flightplans you can install if you wish; big airlines like Delta but also GA flying clubs. The flightplans are updated on a regular basis. There are two parts of the software. AIG Manager and TrafficController. AIG Manager is the program where you manage your AI (install/update/delete flightplans). Traffic Controller is the program that injects the AI in P3D. I  could not do without AIG anymore. Just love it. I have installed 333 flightplans up till now (mainly for Europe and US). And I my opinion it is really not that complex. I would say, just give it a try. I think you will like it.

Just a short explanation on the injection of traffic into P3D.

There are two methods - BGL and AIGFP. BGL are files that are loaded when P3D is launched. Just like when you add a new airport. How many Ai you see is dependent on the Ai sliders in P3D Traffic settings. If you slide them to zero you'll see none. Set to maximum you'll see every aircraft loaded via the BGL system.

The other system is AIGFP. These aren't BGL files. They are controlled by the program Traffic Controller, not the Traffic sliders in P3D. It also has a method of controlling the number of Ai injected into P3D plus an option to turn it off. It needs to run when P3D is running to see its traffic.

The BGL flights use the Great Circle Route whereas AIGFP ones use Jet Routes. At the end of the day it's down to you which you prefer. There's an option in AIG Manager to set a preference for BGL. That's what I use but it's purely a personal thing.

Thanks Ray for this explanation. As far as I know both kind of routes are used in the real world. Great circle is the most efficient (distance/fuel) but jet routes are also used. Am I right?

All my flightplans are AIGFP, so jet routes. Didn't know that. Thanks

I'm giving some consideration to switching major airlines to AIGFP although it does come with one major drawback.

Using AIFP3 I can edit a BGL file to resolve problems such as one or more aircraft not having a paint. If other aircraft types in the same BGL have one I can swap flights from "no paint" to one with a paint (livery).

If you don't then those aircraft show up with a blank white livery. Yuck!

There's no equivalent for AIGFP files.

I guess you mean the one that used to be hosted at Boston Virtual ARTCC (flai.bvartcc.com). Apparently, that page is not working, but I haven't tried using the Wayback Machine yet.

I switched British Airways from a BGL file to AIGFP. Then using the Flight Finder in Ai Companion for BA 380’s departing Heathrow on a Sunday it found one heading to LAX.

I tracked it using both Ai Companion and Little Navmap. Whilst it didn’t follow the SID it did stay on an upper airway until it was deleted by P3D as being beyond the 80nm range.

Given major airlines are unlikely to have no paints I’ll slowly convert those BGLs to AIGFP ones. Then I’ll fly a route out of EGLL and see if other aircraft are on my airway.

I find no reference to it on the AIG download or software section of their web page.
