Star Trek The Original Series. Scotty on the far left.

Star Trek the first theater movie. Scotty second from left. (If not for the voice, I would not recognize Engineer Scotty).

Point 2: If you don't recognize the blond in the first pic, She's also in the movie pic. She was removed from the original TV series early, but came back for the theater movies. Jance Rand (played by Grace Lee Whitney).

Slight correction....the blond in the first pic is Majel Barrett, not Grace Lee Whitney.

The second pic has both of them in it (Grace Lee Whitney on left side rear, Majel Barrett center)

Thanks! I stand corrected 🙂

This is the person I was familiar with (from TOS):

She was there a lot during the first 10 episodes of so of Season 1, and then disappeared. And came back year later in the movies.

History repeated itself in Star Trek, The Next Generation. The blond security officer Tasha Yar  (Worf's assistant) started out a major presence. And then they killed her off. And series ran on without her for next six years or so.

Good looking blondes who left in pursuit of better roles elsewhere.

Nice to see she was reprised as Yar's daughter.

Majel Barrett, wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, was actually in every episode of Star Trek. She played the role of USS Enterprise. Well, actually, she was the voice of the Enterprise, when the ships computer responded to what ever was asked or commanded of her.
