MSFS very big problem with responsivenes

Featured Replies

I have big problem using both MSFS and MSFS2024. In the UI mouseclick often does not work and if they do the response is slow. In the cockpit there are often hickups noticed by short interruption in the music. Also frequent hangups of the mousecursor and slow responses. In MSFS I had to end the game in the task manager and after that started in fail safe mode when prompted. Still the same problem.
I use Win 11 25H2. Anyone recognising this problem or have any idea about what to do ?

Look at your CPU temperature or run benchmark of you system. Happened to me when my i13900 was dying. CPU was heating up over 100% and benchmark showed low speed comparing what it suppose to be

Do you measure it when you run MSFS?

Yes measured when running MSFS2024

What hardware are you using?  Cpu/ram/vid card?

I know AMD will do that if you either don't have chipset/AGESA installed or it is corrupted.  Not sure about the latest Intel but it's probably similar.

I would start by reinstalling the chipset driver, update BIOS, and update sound driver (especially if you have Realtek).

It seem to be an occasional problem of varying severity. I just launched MSFS2024 and now there was no problem. But it occasionally happens that mouse responsiveness is somewhat slow but not as bad as yesterday.

I was having similar problems out of the blue recently and it turned out my issue was related to the NVIDIA App. I uninstalled it and both sims are running great again.

What NVIDIA App ?

  • 2 weeks later...

If you didn't install it, you probably don't have it. It is a standalone program for tweaking your graphics and updating drivers for an NVIDIA GPU.
