TDS GTN 750 in freeware C90 Kingair...

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I think I read that the TDS can also be shoehorned into the AFL King Air.
that alone would be enough for me to buy the TDS

and I might not fly anything else!

Saw this and tried it out nice clean up and modification of the Laminar C90. Never took to the flatscreen version - not my cup of tea. So like what they have done with the C90 but the big IF is simple, to get the TDS means handing over some serious $$'s (with exchange rate this rolls out to $100 for me here in Oz). So nice as it is it is also a very Navigraph centric which is also off my list of stuff - do not like the subscription model they use. At least the team who did this left a switch to revert to the default Laminar GPS units - that will do me for the time being.

This is now a very well executed C90 King Air - never a popular aircraft commercially, underpowered for its size and limited load capacity - never got many operating in Oz for those reasons basically the C90 is a turbine powered Duke or sorts or in that class - businessman's or private operators chariot. Serious commercial operators go to the BE200 or BE350 King Air - lots more seats lots more power and better performance all up.  I will hardly ever tinker with it but go with the AFL King Air - a very nice model for the sim indeed.

Hello,

From the TDS Sim Software side, we would like to clarify a few items. We are grateful of the collaboration with Navigraph as well as being able to offer a fully updateable navigation database as well as worldwide navigation charts, as part of Navigraph. This has been a game changer for the TDS GTNXi and after all these years, it is great that users have the option to stay current with navdata and charts in the TDS GTNXi, thus being able to offer a complete solution.

While we strongly encourage Navigraph, it is not mandatory for the TDS GTNXi to function. A subscription is not mandatory to run the TDS GTNXi, as the navdata provided with the TDS GTNXi works just fine, at a fixed navdata cycle of 2302 at the time of writing. The applies to charts, the user can always switch to the provided North American FliteCharts. This way the TDS GTNXi provides options to those users who want to experiment the product and decide, in the future, for a Navigraph subscription.

From the TDS end, we are working on continually improving the TDS GTNXi with many more new and exciting features.

Through this message, we would like to thank the entire C90B Evo team for creating the great aircraft package mod, as well as supporting the TDS GTNXi utizlizing the innovative X-Plane 12 Custom Avionics Devices!

The TDS is not switching on for me, even though I do have it selected on the radio panel (I see it on the panel).  Works fine in all my other aircraft.  Surely it is user error - can anyone suggest what I may have missed?

Can you please reinstall the TDS GTNXI XPlane version 1.0.0.7 from the TDS GPS Manager?

Only comment - I like both the TDS and the Navigraph software - and the way it can interact with a wide variety of FMS systems not just the TDN. I live in the antipodes - our exchange rate v the US$ and the EURO is low and has not improved for years so basically it is a 2 to 1 swap for either US$ or Euros- that doubles the price for me. Another issue and it is the big one why I am such a fan of XPlane besides being a brilliant sim is I do not need to be online to use it - internet and bandwith is a real issue for a rural dweller like me and always will be. These are issues outside the developers ambit and I appreciate that! Love to get the TDS and Navigraph but not this year!

As for this C90 King Air - a beautiful beast now!

I did have that version but I have re-installed.  However still a blank TDS screen.

You may want to check switch assignment, especially users with Saitek Panels often complain about this because a switch is mapped to "avionics power" by default, and if that is in the OFF position, radios and avionics won´t work.

This can also happen with other hardware - and it can be isolated to single aircraft if user have set up different control profiles for them.

Then there is the possibilty that you have not supplied electrical power to all systems, like a tie breaker may be open or the DC system unpowered...

Does the TDS GTNXi work in other aircraft?

So we would not deter this thread, can you please contact our tech support via Discord/email. We need the log file from My Documents: TDSGTNXPlaneLog.txt

Not to worry, we will find a solution, we always do!

This is fully understood and we hope that the exchange rate will improve, in the future.
To clarify the matter, from the TDS side, an active internet connection to utilize our software is not necessary. The only drawback is the loss of the live worldwide METAR data, as displayed in the TDS GTNXi Airport Info page!
