December 16, 2025Dec 16 An early morning flight in the Beech Duke from KFHR in the San Juan Islands (Washington state, USA) , to CAT4, situated on the Georgia Strait, British Columbia I don't make it to Canada very often, but I found some exceptional freeware at the usual place for CAT4 (along with others like CYCD if you want to explore that area) Enjoy this flight with nice views in the stunning Black Square Grand Duke (stunning livery by TimHH) Somewhat of a marine layer/mist in the early morning here.... it makes for a lovely view I think! Leveling off at 2,500, we'll pull the power back to about 75%, the duke is still quite fast 🙂 We head up towards Mayne Island (CAW7) and make the turn towards Nanaimo (CYCD) CYVR Vancouver Intl across the Strait Sunrise over the Northern Cascades The sun cresting the peaks of the North Shore Range Making a bit of a turn towards Nanaimo Harbor Passing the Duke Point Ferry Terminal One of my favorite paints for the Duke 🙂 We'll shoot the practice RNAV 29 into CAT4 And a circle to land runway 11 Turning directly into the sunrise hehe Hope you enjoyed! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
