January 9Jan 9 Hi, I’m having a new PC built for me by Jetline. I’m wondering about key assignments and bindings. I’m kind of OCD so I typed out each setting for each device. And I notice that they can be exported. Should I export them and import them with a USB stick after it’s installed in the new sim? Or are they stored in the cloud. Thanks. Jack Jack Sawyer
January 9Jan 9 No, no Jack, don't worry, settings are gently stored on Asobo's servers, no need for exporting them. ☺️ - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
January 9Jan 9 I bought a new PC a couple of months ago and was dreading having to set everything up again. I was pleasantly surprised when it all happened automagically. (FS2020, in my case.) It does take a while. Edited January 9Jan 9 by The_Flying_Potato
January 9Jan 9 They should be stored in the cloud and basically you don't need to do a thing. That said, it never hurts to have an export/screenshot as a backup. You shouldn't need them, but of course better to be safe. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

The "cloud" only option is a problem for those of us using multiple computers with different devices/controllers but with a single account ... have to import every time or have two MS accounts. I was thinking about exporting them to the desktop, saving them to a USB, them importing them into the new install on the new PC. Would that work? Jack Sawyer
January 9Jan 9 You don't need to do any of that. It just works. As long as you aren't using multiple computers with different devices, as SayAgain said, which you aren't. Just dont' worry about it. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
