i never run Beta versions, i am on stable 12.3.3

I run every beta and so far only 1 or two caused issues, If it wasnt for beta testers wed still be in the dark ages

The last betas have all had warnings of instability, etc.  If you want to be a beta tester, go for it, just don't complain when something doesn't work, send it in as a bug report.  I prefer to fly with no problems.  It is usually the add-ons and other apps that cause the problems.  I avoid most of them.

They did, havnt caused med any issues.

Another B737 or shall we say the last Boeing 737 the MAX- um no thanks. I suppose if you want to have flight control failures modelled, rudder control failures modelled and structural window failures modelled - might be interesting for some! As for AFL - still waiting for a response (any response actually) to the Linux installer issues that have left that AFL product for me in the box. So a pass on all counts both aircraft type and the developer.

Being a software engineer for 40+ years, I consider all software beta but we do “try” to define an official release based on fewer critical bugs in our queue and/or funding limits and/or PM and/or bonus pay 😉

To be honest, it wasn’t until this latest “Beta” round that I found renewed interest in XP12 as performance has doubled making the experience that much better.

But yes, I did report it to Airfoillabs who acknowledge an issue with RXP/TDS in the latest beta, a fix may come in the future … so no, I don’t “just complain” I do report issues that I’m unable to resolve.

I have their Cessna 172s, and for such a basic aircraft, it's extremely heavy on the framerates (although very nice). I can't even begin to imagine how heavy a full-blown 737-Max is going to be.

Not disagreeing with you, and for XP12 I only have the AFL 172 G1000, but I don’t perceive a heavy system hit from either the 172 or the 350.

There are others, like the Felis 742, where the hit is so substantial I don’t fly it very often.
OTOH, the ToLiss A346, runs as fast the Default VisionJet!

So, yes - let’s see how good AFL are at optimization, as that will definitely weigh into my purchase decision vs sticking with the Zibo!

I usually agree. 😁👍

But for me, the performance increase, stability, and compatibility of 12.4b1 is so good that it’s where I spend all my time in XP now.

ive seen the problem reports for the subsequent Betas and I’m not willing to risk them, so I’m fine waiting for now!
