Anyone know about AI aircraft?

Featured Replies

I use FSPXAI for my AI planes in P3D (v5.4). All of my FSPXAI 737 (700,800, and 900) planes have lost their winglets and scimitars. The winglets and scimitars were showing in the sim a few days ago but now they are gone. Any idea what could have happened? Any ideas on how to get them to show again?

These are the AI planes I am talking about

PS: I did email FSPXAI and few days ago but so far haven't heard back.

Need to see photos. This makes no sense to me. Only ever seen anything remotely close from when we went 32bit models to 64bit sim. I use FSPXAI which are terrific models anytime I sparingly use P3D and have never seen this. Are you using AIG installers and AIG Traffic Controller?

All of my AI is manually installed.

ALL of my 737's look like this. No winglets or scimitars.

If you look closely at the wingtip you can see a bit of the green color where the winglet starts.

can you send the aircraft.cfg file over so i can take a look. I am wondering if the wrong model is selected.

I am really stumped by this. I cannot figure out what went wrong and how to get the winglets back. I did update my Nvidia graphic card drive last week and I thought that was the problem, but then I thought why would it just affect my 737 AI and nothing else.

It's probably something to do with the model or aircraft.cfg. I've noticed the newer FSPXAI releases have some unusual choices around model types. I haven't played around with their 737/A320 packages yet, but I know the EJets and 767s both require specific phrases included in the title= field to control this stuff. This is something that's usually been managed with separate models whereas FSPXAI seems to use a different approach.

Joseph your email never made it through but maybe just post the cfg file in this thread so we can take a look. Thx.

I finally got a response from FSPXAI (came a few minutes ago). He has been getting a lot of emails with the same problem of no winglets/scimitars on the 737-700, 800, and 900's. He is not completely sure what happened, but he thinks it may be due to a windows update. He said one user noticed the problem after a windows update, then reverted back to a previous update and the winglets/scimitars are now showing for him. He is looking into it to see if it is indeed a windows update that caused the problem.

Sounds like the Windows 24H2 update which created a number of issues for certain aircraft, notably TDS and Aerosoft products. Again, it was the wings that were affected.
