When i saw the panel i was instantly transported into the insides of a DC-10. Nowadays it's all just "plastic" no matter how good the quality is.

I wonder what's missing... Lighting? Proper photo textures?  I wish we could see some cockpits like this one in MSFS.

I was looking at actual DC-10 cockpit pics from a DC-10 CBT app that I have and it was literally 1:1. So awesome 👌

  • Yes, indeed. Looking back, FS9 wasn't particularly impressive compared to today's tech.  But the key difference was having skilled, professional programmers making such remarkable software.

I mean...we had the same with fs9 and fsx....  Plenty of wilcopub or abacus or even carenado back then  We just have way more developers now in msfs.  So yes, naturally there is a bell curve of q

As a former Dc10 flight engineer, I agree with you. Too bad we don't have one in MSFS24 and 20! Lots of boring Bus and 737 anyway 😁

Wow nice. A quick question for you 😉 did you ever use the crossfeeds to feed off tank 2 until 1 2 3 were equal or did you use the trans pump + fill tanks 🙂

Yes ! The center tank transfer pumps and the fill valves of the tanks 1&3. Using Xfeed valves in this case is the best way to create a mess😁

Awesome. Just wanted to confirm. Under certain situations the full tanks have to be manually held open :)

If you don't make a transfer, the fill valves have to be closed.

LMAO. Folks, "Ed" Edward Cox is still very much with us. And he is still pumping out incredible creations. Much like his latest the Airbus A-350.

Just too arrogant to release all his 'creations' for others to enjoy. Its a wonder he hasn't popped on here to gloat or brag.

Definitely not paying for something that freeware - HJG DC10 - does as good or better.

With PMDG working on a B747 classic, now is the perfect time to create something truly spectacular. This opportunity should not be missed!

A classic 747 has been in the works for a couple years now for FS9.

That's interesting. Will it be available soon?

Hmm... I've been in touch with Ed for some days now because I had some initial problems with the installation. AFAIK, he's been very helpful to me and didn't come across as the bragging kind...

And this is the latest update:
