How can I reinstall fs2024 in the fastest way?

Featured Replies

Despite having been searching this forum thoroughly, I couldn't find the thread in which it was explained how to reinstall FS2024 in a fast way. Can one of you please point me into the right direction or even inform me how I can reinstall fs2024 fastest?

Thanks a lot,
Hans

Kind regards,

There's only one way if you use Xbox or Steam... And its a rather fast install unless you have a very outdated internet convection.

I have got a very fast internet connection and my FS2024 is a Store one. I remember a Norwegian member once posted a thread on how to re-install FS2024, but alas, I cannot find that thread anymore.

Uninstall via xbox. Then delete old folders. Reinstall via xbox. That's as simple as it gets. 😀

I think this is the most important and only complicated part - which old folders?

I have msfs v2024 installed in the Xbox games folder. I also created the custom Community folder. Easy to know where the folders are.

C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

You don't need to do any of that. Just reinstall. Don't overthink it.

As a seasoned Uninstaller, I must admit MSFS uninstalls and reinstalls as a charm!

Never been so easy with the MS sims...

As easy as X-Plane these days... Well.... almost.... AND!!!! It saves most of your controller and other options!!! Some will need verification, but most of it works beautifully...

I copied my Community folder to a safe place, then uninstalled FS2024 via XBox, reinstalled via the same route and that was it. Only had to reset my graphic settings and put my saved Community folder back to where it belonged

Hasn't happened with me yet. Maybe I'm lucky. Anyway, everyone can do it their preferred way, I don't overthink it, I just reinstall, and it has always worked fine for me.

YMMV, I Guess.

It happened here yesterday, fortunately I had my community backed up earlier yesterday.
