June 20Jun 20 Hello all,I will build a new PC later this year, as I want to try a few airliners in MSFS2024 (I still use P3D on a 10-year-old PC). I want to be able to run MSFS2024 at reasonably high settings and have some traffic at my airports etc. I mainly fly add-on airliners to third-party airports, and am particular interested in the iniBuilds A380 that is coming. I currently run P3D at 30Hz Vysnc 30FPS. I am happy with 30FPS Vsync, but I have read about frame generation etc. but am quite unsure about it.I am a bit worried with the discontinuation of the 7900XTX 24GB graphics card. The only other current one >16GB as far as I can tell is the 5090, which is simply out of budget for this new PC.What card will be happy to run MSFS2024 at fairly high settings with 3rd party planes and airports in 4K?I would really appreciate your advice, as a lot of googling and research turns up results from when the 7900XTX was around. Many thanks for your help,Rudy Edited June 20Jun 20 by VHOJT
June 20Jun 20 My RTX 5070 TI runs 4K and VR good in MSFS2024 not worth spending the extra on a 5080 or a 5090 its a waste of money.I went from a RTX 3090 24 GB to the RTX 5070 TI and the 5070 TI runs MSFS2024 better and Im betting it also runs better than 7900XTX 24GB. Sure your loosing 8GB but the 7900XTX 24GB is previous Gen like my 3090 was Edited June 20Jun 20 by jason74 Jason Richards

Friday at 03:41 PM3 days Hi Rudy,How many monitors do you plan to use and what resolutions would you be using? I think this will be determinant factor in selecting the right graphics card.CheersMark SpoilerSystem specs: MFG Crosswind pedals| ACE B747 yoke |Honeycomb Bravo throttleNow built: P3Dv5.3HF2: Intel i5-12600K @4.8Ghz | MSI Z690-A PRO | Asus Dual RTX 4070 Super OC 12Gb| 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz |Samsung 980Evo Pro PCIe 500Gb | WD Black SN850 PCIe 2Tb | WD SA510 4Tb |beQuiet 802 Tower Case|Corsair RM850 PSU | Acer Predator X34P 3440x1440pMark AldridgeMSFS2024 SU5 & P3D v5.3 HF2

Perhaps you're not in SU5 beta but that's what coming....I would absolutely buy a 5090 right now if I had the power supply and money. I wouldn't even hesitate. The VRAM exhaustion is real even with mostly HIGH presets, my RTX 4080 and 1440p monitor. I also have a Reverb G2 and it's not really usable in SU5 beta anymore.I do run a lot of addons though, I love airport addons, paired with high end GA, and I like clouds on Ultra. I tend to run TLOD 300 but sometimes I run AutoFPS cause in the rural areas I enjoy a higher TLOD maybe near 600.SU4 was much better for my system - I hope performance returns. If you search the web, your case appears to be an outlier. Most complain about performance and vram exhaustion in SU5 beta. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I will check out the mod as well because the popup annoys me greatly heh! After some reading it may not in SU5 latest beta... that's probably why things are better for you. SU4 was a great patch for me too. But SU5 is a VRAM eater... not sure what happened.
