No default aircraft found... ???

Featured Replies

Today after installing an addon, although I am not sure this was the culprit, when I started Xp12 a first time after installing it, everything went as usual, X-plane 12 loaded, I picked the installed aircraft, gave it a go for a circuit around LPEV and then closed Xp12.

In my next Xp12 session, and no other installs or whatever modifications were done to my install, folders, disks, ..., I was presented with a popup alert screen saying "No default aircraft" had been found ???

The only way I was able to fix it was by deleting the "preferences" folder under "Output", but I really would like to understand what caused this problem...

Any of you ever came across a similar situation ? Any ideas ?

Thx !

Hi JComm - Apparently, Marco is aware of this and working on a fix...hopefully to be released quickly.

Was a bug in rc2

Has been fixed and a new RC2 release is available for download.

well I had been running it for a while and had never stumped into it until today, and I start Xp12 pretty much everyday...

Glad it's fixed.

I haven't pushed the update yet.

Thx a lot for your feedback guys 👍

Holy word not allowed, I thought my SSD was going out because of this one. WTH LR. I reinstalled everything restarted and it did it again too. Not only the X-Plane stuff but numerous other folders on that same drive including my FSUIPC app. ☹️

Thankfully I don't have many stuff installed in my sims, and I just had to go throught the controller profiles definitions, graphics settings, and that's about all, because all of my addon aircraft were still there ready to go ...
