Install new copy of TC. If you're using the Beta version of 2024, sometimes TC and 2024 don't play well together. But I never had a problem with AIG freezing my system. My issue is TC just crashes and all AI will turn off and I have to restart TC again. June 27Jun 27 Author Hi Bigmack. I will try as you suggest and download a fresh copy of TC and see if it helps. I will report back. By the way, I have experienced your problem with TC crashing as well. Thanks. Malcolm Hancock

Sometimes that may become corrupted and cause CTD. Sunday at 08:33 AM5 days As others have said, these types of freezes are normally hardware related, not software. The last time I had these types of hardware issues (freezes / bluescreens etc.) was just after MSFS2020 released. I traced it to my RAM going bad.I put it through the BIOS RAM test and it kept failing every time after just a few seconds. It passed the test fully multiple times when I originally built the PC about two and a half years earlier. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last 12 years, and with complete new builds.Basically, RAM can degrade over time, just like CPU's can, especially when run on XMP. Nothing wrong with XMP; that is why we buy at that specification of course, but some brands seem to degrade, and sometimes it is just the random hardware lottery you get. Some can last for years and years at XMP settings, while others not so long.I solved my issue by purchasing new RAM (which would be painful at the moment with the prices) and putting it through the BIOS test - perfect results. As I wanted to preserve my RAM I run at XMP minus 800, all good. Some gaming tests there is less than 5% performance difference between standard RAM base clocks such as 3200 / 3600 and XMP settings anyway. I have done quick tests running mine at 5200 and 6000 and couldn't see any noticeable performance issue at the lower setting, so 5200 it is for me to take some of the heat and load off it - I wouldn't want to have to replace it at the moment! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Monday at 04:21 PM3 days Author Ok everyone, just an update regarding my issues. My copy of msfs2024 is functioning beautifully now, thank you to jcomm for pointing me to the XMP = OFF fix that worked for me! Regarding AIG traffic controller crashing and freezing my entire pc, I have given up on it after trying everything I could find online and in forums, nothing has worked for me. I already owned a copy of Just Flight Traffic for 2024 and have that up and running ok, although I do think it's not as good as AIG, I feel it's better to have something rather than nothing at all populating the airports and skies. Anyway I just wanted to say a big thank you to all who offered their kind support.Best regards and clear skies. Edited Monday at 04:23 PM3 days by rooster hancock 2003 Malcolm Hancock

My only other suggestion is to post what's happening on AIG support forum. They most likely ask you to attach a copy of TC log files so they can troubleshoot why TC is causing you problems. I've done it many times and they pretty much always figured out what was going on. Wednesday at 05:47 AM2 days Author Hi Gentlemen. udidwht, I did the above as per your intructions but again with no joy, in fact when I right click on the icon,(run as admin), it won't open at all now, and yes bigmack, I would be pulling my hair out if I had any. I just don't get what's happened, it used to work fine! As I mentioned before I have installed Just Flight Traffic 2024 and it's doing a reasonable job and although not as good as AIG I'm going to stick with it for now as I want to get some flying done in my 70th year before I shuffle off this mortal coil 🤣! On a side note, I downloaded the latest 2024 update yesterday and all is good for me, I'm quite impressed! Thank you again gentlemen for your kind support.Best regards. Malcolm Hancock

When was the last time you ran the AIG manager and updated?
