Peace and good health, everyone! Does anyone happen to have a DC-3 model for FS2004 with floats (not an amphibious version)? I want to use it for hydro-traffic.

Did such an aircraft ever exist in reality because it would have had to have very large floats ? Possibly very much engine power as well to be able to get off the water, especially if it had any onboard cargo and/or passengers.

There certainly was an experimental C-47 with floats and amphibious capability, a representation of which was available for FS9, but the OP didn't want amphibian, so I didn't mention it.

Very few were ever built (I wonder why?) and one was still airworthy, if not actually in use, until relatively recently.

In real life and by the looks of this C-47, it was even an amphibian and not just a "floatplane".

I say !! WOW !! again. But I don't think any such FS2004 AI or flyable C-47/DC-3 models/paints exist --- BUT --- you never know what may come up in this thread.

Unfortunately this is only an add-on for a defunct piece of pay-ware ... first you need the MAAM-SIM R4D/DC-3

Using the XC-47C in traffic doesn't require the paid MAAM model. The amphibious version uses the paid model's panel links and sounds. However, traffic doesn't use the panel, and the default sounds are used.

Generally, you can get round that by adjusting the contact points so that the aircraft appears to be sunk in the ground, which then looks silly on land but look right in water. If your AI flight plans only serve water-based landing areas they look fine.

Thank you for the heads-up, but I'm using them as floating aircraft. Of course, I've made some adjustments to the [contact_points] sections in their aircraft.cfg files. And I have to manually issue the KEY_GEAR_UP command to them in Traffic Toolbox Explorer.
