Friday at 12:27 PM2 days They must have electricity because the units I saw had space heaters and air conditioners. I thought I also saw a row of public restrooms which could have been large enough to contain showers and sinks to wash up in. Facilities don't have to take up much room. I traveled a lot on Amtrack in a compartment. At the center of the car was a toilet and sink and shower. It didn't take up much room and was fully adequate.I'm assuming they had a central dining facility too. All in all it certainly beats a doorway and a soup kitchen somewhere in the city. The materials cost alone is at least that much and likely more, and then there's the labor, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC cost.These are certainly more economical than the expensive public housing cities have been building for decades, however. Do you think corrupt city officials will go this less expensive route when they can get kickbacks from their buddies in construction firms to build more expensive public housing? Can pigs fly?
