22 hours ago22 hr I noticed about a week ago that when I selected BIKF Keflavik from the FREE FLIGHT global menu, the "Sun" or "Moon and Stars" symbols that should be left of the time in the upper right of the screen were missing. I thought that this had something to do with the MK Studios BIKF Keflavik airport addon package. Since this also includes an upgraded version of BIRK Reykjavik, I decided to check that out today. Sure enough, this airport has the same problem. However, I also noticed today that my ST Simulations version of BIAR Akureyri suffers from the same problem. Since that is a completely separate addon, I decided to investigate................and I discovered that every airport that is currently in the UTC time zone suffers from the problem. That is all airports in Iceland, a handful on the eastern coast of Greenland, and all airports in the Azores. Anywhere with a time zone that is at least one hour ahead or behind UTC is fine (including the UK at the moment, since we are currently UTC+1).I use those symbols to determine when I start a flight from an airport, so it is annoying that they have disappeared with these airports. Can you guys check to see if this is the case on your PCs? I want to make sure that it is not a problem isolated to my computer. If you guys can confirm this, then it would seem to be an SU6 update bug, as BIKF Keflavik was working just fine in this department until very recently.EDIT: I have just checked to see what happens when the UK returns to UTC time at the end of October, and the bug affects all UK airports at that time!! In addition, Iceland and the Azores switch to UTC-1, and the symbols work fine after that!This is a serious problem for me. Has anyone else noticed it? 21 hours ago21 hr I have noticed this but did not have it narrowed down to UTC or time zones. In my experience, it has been a thing since the beginning of MSFS2024, long before SU6. I just thought it was a "feature" since no one else was reporting about it. It bothers me too, but I just have come to terms with it as a curious design decision by Asobo. I don't know if it is a bug or a feature, but it has always been there for me.EDIT: I should add that as far I could tell, it was just random. 20 hours ago20 hr I never noticed, but I keep real time always checked in sim. Sometimes when I start at Iceland or Greenland real time box is unchecked. But once I check it, time returns to what it should be. I can always double check time zone with my world clock app on my cell phone or with Volanta which keeps the real time zone and UTC. Sometimes when I start a flight a flight in Norway FS loses correct time but again when I turn back on real time, it corrects back to real time. I mean, they are there for a reason. I mean, they are there for a reason.Sure, I agree that it is a bug and should work properly, and I get that you use the feature but given that the time is still there and sunset times are easy to find, it seems no more than an inconvenience.Not trying to be contrary, but I guess we have a different idea of what constitutes a "serious problem".
