Tuesday at 02:51 PM5 days Basically I won't be buying another X-56, had one (three) for years but the switches aren't very reliable.I asked ChatGPT what would be a good replacement as I fly both MSFS2024 (PMDG, Fenix and Inibuilds) and DCS (A-10C, F-16 and F-18) quality and reliability matter most and I'm prepared to spend up to £1000 for a good product.ChatGPT's advice was the 'VKB Gunfighter IV Modern Combat Edition Pro' teamed up with the 'VKB STECS Standard Mk II throttle unit' totalling around £800.I haven't seen any posts of these units in the Avsim forum, looking for any thoughts.Glen Glen
Tuesday at 09:52 PM4 days One thing to consider if you are spending that much - look into Force Feedback gear. It makes a huge difference. I've been using a lot of ffb gear since making FFB-Bridge, and really it does change the way you fly. A cheap FFB option is the Sidewinder v2 USB from eBay. Modern gear like Moza is excellent as well. the AB9 is really good. Note: this is my personal opinion! 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Wednesday at 05:53 PM4 days Author Hi Ray, the Thrustmaster Warthog would have been a good choice unfortunately it doesn't appear to have a twist grip for yaw and ground steering. I don't have room under my desk for rudder pedals, so a stick with a twist grip is essential. Glen
