October 22Oct 22 Is anyone able to start a flight with that aircraft in the latest Beta? I flew it OK a few months ago but this time, every time I start, it gets to the cockpit and the sim just locks up. I have the sound going, but can't move the camera or do anything else. It's also pretty sad that the aircraft hasn't received any meaningful updates throughout the evolution of XP12. It could be great, but is sorely missing some nice QOL things where it's been surpassed by its peers.EDIT: Ah, it hasn't locked up completely. Just took 2-3 minutes before it became responsive. That's weird. But at least it should work... hopefully. Edited October 22Oct 22 by BostonJeremy77

October 23Oct 23 Most of you dont realise or couldnt be bothered, but, it was almost completely dropped, team pretty much broke up, product has being around for a long time, thankfully work was allowed to continue, but pretty much a one man team, who has being doing a lot of stuff for laminar, but it is getting complete FMS write to use existing xpkane nav data, used its own before, and to fix some well known nav bugs, also upgrade sound to FMod as old sound format caused issues fir some. So there you go.

They updated it for XP12 with some nice visuals and since then…nothing. i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM

October 24Oct 24 Maybe they could open it for some freeware team to build upon it ?I believe it's sold through X-Aviation. Why not ask at their forums ? Or contact Cameron or Tom Kyler ? Or Jan Vogel ? Who knows they could accept it ? Users would still have toi own the original aircraft, up to the Xp12-compatible version. October 24Oct 24 Why not, indeed. I found a quite recent post from Cameron dated september 2026 and I hope I can quote it here: « (…) IXEG is currently in a very deep re-write. It's very likely whatever you're experiencing will be fixed in the next update. »That means if we are lucky enough, there may be some update perhaps (if staying optimistic) before 2030 😀More seriously, yes passing the code to devs that are interested and have time, could be an idea. But I see a conflict of author-rights incoming… i9 12900k, RTX 3090, 32GB RAM
