>Did you solve your problem?Yes. Ed pointed out what should have been obvious in retrospect. If I find the hInstance for the calling .dll, I can easily obtain the absolute path to where the .dll was invoked......the current a/c's ..panel folder!Strip off the unneeded bits to end up with path the current a/c's aircraft.cfg. *:-*

>GetModuleFileName was the 'secret'.>>It's a Windows thing. ;)As I said though, in retrospect it should have been obvious to me since I used that same 'secret' in my RMU855 gauge!!! :-lol

You can also get the path to the airfile, and hence the aircraft.cfg from SimConnect.
