Making ADVDISP invisible?

Featured Replies

Since RC now uses the new ADVDISP in FSUIPC is it possible to make it invisible so it does not appear when taking screen shots? With the old version if it was docked in the main panel view it was not visible when in outside view so you could take screen shots without it being in the shot.Andy S

there is an option on one of the fsuipc tabs, to set a hot key to make it disappear and then re-appear.if you don't have a registered copy of fsuipc, if you search this forum, i'm sure you will find the instructions on how to modify the fsuipc.ini file to make the hot key workjd

Two handy statements can go in FSUIPC.ini General section and these work with the "new" transparent window (disregard the meaning of AdvDisp but keep it in the definition):To temporarily toggle the RC window hide/show with CTRL-X:AdvDisplayHotKey=88,10See the User Guide for the values of other characters. To get a white text color:WhiteMessages=YesAlways make a backup copy of FSUIPC.ini in a folder outside of FS before editing it.
