July 22, 200817 yr No, you asked "do you have display text checked on the options page?" to which I replied "No sir". I thought the other information may be helpful based on other posts regarding this problem. EddieKABQ
July 22, 200817 yr Commercial Member sorry, my misunderstanding.can you follow the steps at the top of the forum, and make a .log, where these long delays occur, zip it up, and send it to me?also, do you have a sound card, or do you have your sound generated by the mother board?have you defragged your disk, where rc is installed, recently?what antivirus program are you running? is it scanning everyfile rc opens when creating a clearance?jd JD Read my blog
July 22, 200817 yr Thank you. Yes, I will run a log tonight on a flight. It was really weird, I couldn't get a good flight in all day Saturday but Sunday (after a reboot) it was fine. So, I'll see if it's still misbehaving tonight and send you a log. Sound is a professional (Echo MIA) PCI card. Defrag pretty regularly, within the past couple of weeks. RC is installed in the default location on the same disc as FS. Probably 6 months ago. Running AVG, but I disable it and shut down all its processes before starting FS. Will send you a log tonight. Thanks JD! EddieKABQ
July 25, 200817 yr >Also, there was a delay in keyboard response. The key>assignments worked, but there was a long delay for them to>work.I thought I was the only one with this intermittent occurrence. When I'm handed off to the next radio frequency, I press the number but nothing happens. I then get a telling off from ATC giving me the instruction again. I'm frantically pressing the required number to switch frequencies and eventually, it will kick in. This is most annoying and dangerous when it happens on finals when I'm handed off to the tower. As I said, it's intermittent.
July 25, 200817 yr Commercial Member do you have the option to set the frquency automatically on contact?if you don't, you have to ack the handoff, switch freq, then checkinjd JD Read my blog
August 9, 200817 yr >While on the ground, communication between RC4 and pilot is>fine. What could be causing this?>>I just did a flight where I had this delay problem, along with>RC4 thinking I was off course, but I was actually on course.>Also, there was a delay in keyboard response. I have this problem here exactly...atc tells me to do something I do it then wait 30 to 45sec for the box to change. because of this lag or delay radar contact doesnt recognize that I hit all my waypoints when in fact I did...so it keeps telling me to go back. It then goes into a repeat loop...telling me to go back to this previous waypoint over and over and over and over etc....It continues on until I get ###### and cancel my flight. default FSX atc sucks indeed however it works..so in short i would rather have something that sucks but works then something that could be good but doesn't work.Long story short I am going to uninstall this mod due its lack of playablity. Enjoy the 40 bucks you stole from me... have a nice dayGuthrieCEO of Lebowski Virtual Airlines"Her life is in your hands dude"

August 10, 200817 yr I'm continually appalled by the lack of civility on these sorts of posts. Doesn't anyone teach their kids manners these days. For the record, the customer service provided for RC is as good as you will get for any product (FS or other) and is well beyond what is required to be provided. Try getting this sort of personal service from Microsoft... you won't be getting it for free.

We all have bad days...we all get tired and frustrated from time to time...I find it somewhat ironic that you start your post pontificating about civility and the lack thereof, and then directly follow it up with a half handed insult. It appears that you need to take your own advice? For the record I am 34 years old.
