  2. Is the FS Real World Weather server down? Cannot seem to access it.Shez
  3. Guys,While the library is down, does anyone have a copy of Traffic View Board?ThanksShez
  4. Is flightsim.com down? Can't access it.Shez
  5. It would be an interesting choice. If you search old archives you will come across my first scenery design which was for FS98 and it was KDTW. It was developed in the old VOD program days with little in the way of textures etc.Shez
  6. Dillon,www.sunskyjet.com is the KPHL project and yes I am a part of this along with Ian Gibson. It will be out very soon as we are almost there on Beta Test commencement. Have a look at the forums for WIP pics.As regards KLGB, I basically put this on slow development and am 95% done. I have left the ground as default but I may go back to the drawing board which may take time. Not sure if people want a custom designed ramp texture because this version has a photoreal base already? Am going to try and push this out the door until the next project is decided. As regards KDTW, I have flown through this airport many times and love it. It is the best airport in the US in my opinion. I feel we do not have a full scale freeware (although the Mainville version is pretty good and I use it). Let's see...maybe if there is enough clamour :(:) .Shez
  7. Guys,What are the sceneries available for KDTW Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in the FS world, payware or freeware? What is the opinion on quality?ThanksShez
  8. Try the Ken Mitchell one.Shez
  9. Guys,Thanks for all the replies. Made a mistake in the original post my controller is the Saitek.I got it to work. Problem resolved with the reverse axis, reducing the null zone, and increasing sensitivity.ThanksShez
  10. My CH Rudder Pedals toe brakes have stopped working in FS9 but they work in FSX. In FS9 when I depress the pedals the brake comes on permanently and does not disengage. Anyone have a solution?ThanksShez
  11. The first problem is not a panel problem, sounds like an aircraft problem. Check a/c with other panels. The second is something I posted about a while back and it happens on all FS a/c. The solution someone posted is to assign a key to the autobrake decrease function and keep pressing the key until the autobrake is disengaged. Works for me although I wish the engagement of brake would auto-disengage autobrake as in real life but alas...Hope this helps.Shez
  12. Hi Nigel,I am definitely here just traveling on business. Will reply soon.RegardsShez
  13. Opa,Locksta,The increase in the throttles only shuts down the reversers and the spoilers. The autobrake still continues the braking action. The turning off the autobrake action is the only way to turn off the braking.ThanksShez
  14. Guys,Thanks for all the great advice. Shutting off the autobrake does indeed work so now need to figure out which button to assign it to.I need to get down to the reinstallation of some of the default gauges soon!Shez
  15. Guys,On landing when the autobrake engages I find that there is no way to disengage it until the a/c comes to a complete stop. How does one disengage it? Pressing the brake key does not help.ThanksShez
  16. Hi Brian,Still struggling with finishing off the KPHL scenery (www.sunskyjet dot com). New job, family, sports, flying, etc. taking up all the time. We are pretty close on it but going is slow. However, we are going to make it FSX compatible. When finished I may go over to FSX. Maybe upgrade all previous FS9 ones to FSX.Shez
  17. Sounds interesting.I wonder what other aircraft are worth buying. Anyone have opinions on the Cessna 441 from Flight1? Is it a true FSX a/c?For the smaller GA's I think someone recommended the Eaglesoft Columbia400 and the Carenado singles (which one though?).ThanksShez
  18. As my preferred GA sim is FSX I have been searching for good GA aircraft. Unfortunately apart from a few notables I found very few good GA aircraft for FSX so I finally took out the wallet and purchased two GA twins for FSX, Eaglesoft Twin Comanche Digital Aviation Cheyenne These two were bought after much reading about the payware aircraft offerings here at AVSIM.I can tell you after spending a week studying them and their systems and flying them I can say I am extremely impressed! These are fantastic products and they enhance the enjoyment level of FSX significantly.I would highly recommended purchase of these two aircraft for anyone wanting to enhance their FSX experience!Shez

  20. ASA has not caused me a problem in either FSX or FS9. However, in FS9 I do notice that if I change weather conditions the clouds change but the winds don't. Anyone know why this might be the case?ThanksShez
  21. Here is a strange one.All the sounds in my Windows have gone into acceleration mode i.e. songs, windows sounds are being played in 2x speed. Beyonce sounds like a singing beaver... :( :( Anyone have a clue why this might have happened?ThanksShez
  22. I can confirm this. In another post below I noted that my new 9800GTX+ has more than enough horsepower even with my older E6750 without overclock on CPU or GPU. Great card!Shez
  23. Latest drivers the 180s in use. Visual quality from my 8600GT is definitely far far improved. Especially noticeable are ground textures and the autogen textures.I use Riva Tuner and set up profiles which auto-launch FS2004 and FSX. For both the launcher setup for me changes defaults to AAx8S, AFx16. I have no need to overclock the card as of yet as it so far ahead of what I need. Maybe in FS11 :)I don't use nHancer as it does not give me control over screen brightness.Shez
  24. I upgraded from an 8600GT to a 9800GTX+, performance doubled on FSX and went up 75% on FS2004 (it was already good). E6750, 2GB RAM.Shez
